I recently visited Nandhana Palace, one of the most famous Andhra-style restaurants in Bangalore, and I have to say, the experience was truly unforgettable. I went there with my friends, and as soon as we stepped in, the aroma of spices and the lively vibe made us excited for the meal ahead. We decided to try their Andhra-style mutton biryani and a mushroom biryani for my vegetarian friend. To my surprise, the mushroom biryani was not just an afterthought—it was packed with flavor and just as satisfying as the mutton biryani. Both biryanis were cooked to perfection, with rich, aromatic spices and tender bites that made each mouthful a delight. The mutton in the biryani was soft and juicy, and the rice tasted fresh and full of Andhra spices, just as you would expect in a place known for its biryani. For starters, we ordered the Andhra-style chicken chilli. This was a game changer—unlike the typical Chinese chilli chicken you get elsewhere, this had a unique Andhra twist, with bold spices and a depth of flavor that’s hard to explain. It was totally different and definitely next level. Dessert was a highlight too. We tried their special mango dessert, which was creamy, rich, and simply out of this world. Alongside that, we ordered the coconut pudding. It was mild, with a perfect texture—light yet satisfying, and a great way to end such a spicy meal. The service at Nandhana Palace was quick and efficient, with friendly staff always ready to help. One thing that stood out was that all the food was served on a banana leaf, giving the meal a homely and traditional feel that reminded us of our roots. It added to the whole experience and made it even more special. Overall, dining at Nandhana Palace was a wonderful experience. From the outstanding food to the fast service and nostalgic banana leaf presentation, everything came together perfectly. If you are in Bangalore and want to enjoy authentic Andhra-style food with friends, this place should be at the top of your list. I can’t wait to...
Read moreOur recent visit to Nandhana Palace in Rajajinagar was an absolute delight for anyone who enjoys authentic Andhra-style cuisine. From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for a flavorful experience, and the restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way.
We started with the Chicken Soup, and the taste was simply beyond words! It was packed with rich flavors, perfectly seasoned, and had just the right balance of spices—comforting and soul-satisfying. It set the tone for the rest of the meal.
For the main course, we ordered the Nellore Chicken Biryani and the Supreme Boneless Chicken Biryani. The Nellore Chicken Biryani was an explosion of authentic Andhra spices, and the tender chicken pieces melted in the mouth. The biryani had the perfect combination of heat and flavor, making it a standout dish. The Supreme Boneless Chicken Biryani was equally impressive, with succulent pieces of chicken that were well-marinated and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the biryanis were served with traditional accompaniments like raita and spicy gravy, which enhanced the experience even more.
The service was quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly, adding to the overall great dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming, and the space is clean and comfortable.
In conclusion, Nandhana Palace offers an unbeatable Andhra-style dining experience with bold, authentic flavors. The Chicken Soup, Nellore Chicken Biryani, and Supreme Boneless Chicken Biryani are highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in some deliciously spicy and satisfying food. Read moreMy family and I went to Nandana palace last night for dinner.
We got to our seats and ordered our food. We ordered chicken kebab, butter kulcha, veg kadai. We got our order with not a lot of time to wait and while we were finishing up, we wanted to order egg fried rice and the waiter who was to take our order saw a family that they knew very well and started to immediately welcome them and take their order while we were calling him to take ours.
We initially thought the waiter would finishes that table order and come back to us but once he took their order he never came to our table.
We tried to get the attention to another waiter who then took our order after 20 min of waiting. ( by this time our plates were dry )
As time passed, everyone around us got their order, even the family who was close to the waiter but we never got the fried rice, but was served the dessert first.
When asked where our fried rice is, they then got our order immediately saying that they had forgotten.
We were very upset for such a service and told them to pack the fried rice and give us the bill.
When we got home, we opened the fried rice to see that it was plain fried rice and not the egg fried rice which we paid for.
This is the first time that Nandana has given such a experience.
Totally unhappy with the biased behavior with the waiter and long...
