New Govinda Rao Military Main Branch — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I went to Govind Rao’s at 8 AM on a weekday morning just as hey were winding up after their breakfast session. It is tiny and easy to miss, but you will certainly get a whiff of biriyani at the Chickpet junction.

The staff were warm and cheerful. I ordered the mutton biriyani and kheema ball soup. The biriyani was definitely unique. It had an inviting yellow colour and was served with a cucumber and onion raitha. The biriyani was spicy, but gentle way. The mutton was soft and fell off the bone. The kheema ball soup was quite tasty, but a little too salty for my liking. It was surprising that the biriyani was served on a Donne plate, unlike Shivaji Military hotel.

All in all, it was a pleasant breakfast and I would recommend one goes there from time to time for a taste and feel...

Oh my God!!! It's just a Hype they have given to this hotel. Any Non Veg lovers, please don't go here and spoil your taste buds. Today I literally went to eat for the first time and it was the worst taste ever in my life. Leg soup was normal - Not so tasty, Mutton Pulav - Its Epic. It's not called a mutton pulav. It was some coloured rice with mutton pieces. No taste nothing. Keema balls - Worst preparation. They have put little meat and full of some powder or some masala mixed. Street food or road side fast food vehicles give better taste than this hotel. I would not recommend any Non veg lovers to go there even if you want to try for first time 🤠.
