If you're craving authentic Odia cuisine in Bengaluru, look no further than Odishan Oasis. This gem of a restaurant is a haven for Odias living in the city, offering a delightful and reasonably priced Odia meal that hits all the right notes.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Pakhala Thali. It's the best I've ever had in Bengaluru, a perfect blend of flavors and textures that transport you straight to Odisha. Each element of the thali was meticulously prepared, from the soothing pakhala to the delectable sides, reflecting the culinary traditions of Odisha with every bite.
Beyond the food, Odishan Oasis excels in hospitality. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends.
In summary, Odishan Oasis not only serves excellent Odia food but also offers a slice of home for Odias living in Bengaluru. With its great food, reasonable prices, and outstanding hospitality, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Odia dining experience...
Read moreThis was my second visit in a month's time. 1st visit was really good with authentic odiya food hence me with my family went for second time. And my second visit was a DISASTER. We ordered exactly the same items what we ordered last tym bit to my surprise the taste and the preparation was absolutely different and bad. Even the deluxe thali and fewer items than last time. We ordered aloo karela chips and we liked it so ordered again within 10 min. And this time the preparation, texture everything was totally different. Fish fry was under cooked, I mean Fish which cooks just in minutes can go undercooked ?? Can u imagine we ordered mutton and left it as it is.... On top , you order one item and you wait for at least 1 to 1 1/2 hr . There was chaos and they were just not able to manage it. Friends if u want to visit this placedo not set any hope. .it's pure luck if u get right or it becomes a disaster. Better to avoid and save your hard...
Read moreI am sharing this experience after visiting twice for dine-in. First time in Feb'24, we had ordered simple Odia food, but the service took more than an hour, and to our surprise the rice wasn't even cooked properly.
Thinking that there might have been some issue the first time, we thought why not to visit again and support our Odia brothers. Second time on 6th Apr'24, the service again took more than 1 hour 10 mins. Really pathetic service and experience. I had just ordered for 2 paratha and Chicken Ghee Roast; after 50 mins, I am informed that there is no one to make paratha. Chicken Ghee Roast is usually dry or semi-gravy but what was served was like normal Chicken Curry.
Taste was ok, no doubt on that, but taking too much time is really frustrating when you take kids along. I have never seen a restaurant taking so much time to serve.
Sorry Odishan Oasis, I am never going to visit again, alone or...
