Imagine stepping into a restaurant that looks like someone's home from the outside, but inside, it's all vintage Indian hotel vibes. Unfortunately, the vintage feel didn't stop at the décor; the hygiene felt like a blast from the past too, especially the washing area—it was more like a scene from a horror movie.
I ordered the porotta and beef roast. The beef roast was served with a flourish, but the porotta, despite looking hot and fluffy, tasted like it had lost its way to flavor town. As for the beef, the first bite was promising, but as I chewed on, the thrill was gone. I started to wonder if it was beef at all; the quality was suspect, to say the least.
The service was, well, interesting. Despite my obvious struggle to conquer the two porottas, the server seemed determined to keep the porotta parade going, oblivious to my plight. The cashier was in their own world, not bothering to focus on the task at hand.
And the bill? 170 rs for 2 porottas and beef roast felt like highway robbery. The only positive vibe I got was when I finally walked out. It was an experience, to say the least—just okay, not a repeat...
Read moreI've been to this restaurant more than five times and which is quite okay, But today, I had an absolutely terrible experience with the service. The waiter was extremely rude and impatient, despite the place not even being crowded. He practically threw the papad onto our banana leaf, and when I asked for mor kulambu, he poured sambar instead. Before we could even finish half our meal, he brought the bill without asking. When we called him to ask why, he started yelling at us, insisting he had served us properly. We stopped eating and complained to the cashier, but he didn’t say a single word in response. Instead, he simply handed us the bill for ₹350. No apology, no concern—just demanded full payment for a meal/chapati we couldn’t even finish properly. If this had happened at any other decent restaurant, they would’ve at least acknowledged the issue, apologized, and maybe even offered a discount. But here? Nothing but money-minded behavior. After this experience, I’m never visiting this...
