Proxy Rooftop Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Proxy has been on my list of places to try, since the time I was invited for their launch. On a weekday lunch with a friend I decided to try out Proxy, Mahadevapura as it was close to both our work locations. We decided to go all chinese kickstarting with a couple of mocktails with interesting names like Unicorn Tears and Mad Butterfly. I ordered the Mad Butterfly, which was a slightly sour concoction and I liked the Unicorn Tears better while my friend loved the Mad Butterfly and we decided to exchange our drinks. It was a great start to what followed was a mix of Chinese Bhel, Chili Paneer and a Seasonal Vegetable Chowmein. The Chinese bhel was crisp and had a beautiful mix of sweet, sour and mildly spicy flavours, while the Chili Paneer went all out spicy with super soft chunks of paneer. The Seasonal Vegetable chowmein was very street style and we both loved it, especially with their house made tomato sauce, which from what I could identify was a delicious mix of tomato sauce, green chili sauce and probably a bit of soy sauce. The sauce elevated the whole meal experience and I suggest that they bottle it and sell it. I would definitely buy it.

For desserts we were recommended a seasonal Mango Tres Leches, which was good, but not great, loved that they tried to incorporate something very seasonal in an innovative way.

Overall a wonderful rooftop space with great drink options, and a meal that was more than satisfactory with a service that was very attentive from Shubham and non-intrusive. Would definitely recommend this place if you don't mind the location which is actually a very non-descript hotel rooftop under the flyover, do try them out and share...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Proxy, and I must say, it was an experience worth every bite. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with an elegant yet comfortable ambiance that made us feel right at home.

The staff at were exceptional. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. They made sure our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

The food at was nothing short of amazing. We started with the Veg Platter, which was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. I had the chilly mashroom, and it was cooked to perfection – tender, flavorful, and accompanied by fresh, seasonal vegetables. The portion sizes were generous, and every dish was a harmonious blend of flavors.

The drink selection was equally impressive, with a wide variety of wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from.
