Updating my review, please read the last paragraph. We tried this restaurant recently and had more of a mixed experience. We started with baked chicken and jalapeno which was really good and a perfect start to a good meal. We then tried the mozarella jalapeƱo croquettes which were below average. Frozen(not fresh) doughy croquettes that lacked flavour. Instant regret. We then tried chicken calzone which ideally should have been baked but was deep fried and had oil dripping which shouldnt be the case. Legit felt like drinking oil. We then tried cheesy focaccia which was average, nothing special but nothing to hate about it too. We heard of the bogo offer on drinks and ordered cold coffee, got a watery milkshake with negligible coffee which was replaced and it was still bad. I mean why even have the offer if you are going to serve watery drinks? We the ordered pizza no 3 and 5 which were surprisingly good. We then ordered the freshly baked cookie skillet and were served a morning cookie with icecream which never in this life mentioned its description. Fresh- no, cookie in skillet- again no. Why deviate? I am not paying exorbitant charges for a cookie baked in the morning. I would have paid double if it was freshly baked tbh. The service felt a little slow where all of us had to look around for the servers. Even though most of the place was empty, found it struggling to get attention. Hospitality is good and ambiance is good too but for food, I mean after the hype here and there, I would say it didnāt live upto the hype. Really need to work on the starters and coffee and description of the products. Donāt introduce offers if you cannot fulfil instead of serving watery coffees in bogo. We will be okay without that too. Also it is so upsetting that the owner and staff of Si nonna are violating safety rules meant for safety of residents everyday by trying to enter in the residential parking to store their products and save their time and effort. I mean rules ? They never follow them and are often found violating them. The staff talks rudely to society security guards passing racist comments on them and fighting with them so that they can enter residential parking, dispose off garbage, keep their stuff and do wrong as and how they please. While the food is definitely bad, the ethics and concern for residents safety is worse with a tinge of racism and verbal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHands down the best Italian Pizzeria in Bangalore. I have been to other authentic Italian cuisine Pizzerias like Brik oven and pizza bakery and until I found Si nonnas, Brik oven was my favourite but this place changed my preferences. The place is calm away from the bustling traffic and has a nice and cozy ambience with friendly staff as well as quick service. I tried the 4 cheese pizza with burrata, a calzone, Iced coffee and a Tiramisu. The calzone was perfectly baked and had a nice crispy texture on the outside and good fillings on the inside. The iced coffee was not as good as other dishes but the tiramisu was smooth and creamy and would just melt in your mouth, I would definitely recommend that dessert over here. Coming to the Pizza, you can request the staff and make your own pizza if it's not too crowded and I did the same, and it was an amazing experience from kneading the dough to giving your personal touch to the toppings and everything. The pizza came out very delicious and I really want to thank the chef Sangchel for patiently teaching me the art of making a sourdough pizza. One of the staff Rashi was also very polite and explained the interesting concept of how they use the mother dough in preparation of every pizza dough and would give any recommendations based on your needs. And it's slightly difficult to reach since it's inside the brigade Apartments but the gmaps location is correct. Parking available in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Si Nonnaās at Brigade Cornerstone Utopia, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. Hereās a breakdown of my visit:
Food: ⢠Tried the Garlic Sourdough, but it was disappointing. The crust in the center, where the garlic is placed, was excessively thināalmost like an Indian papad, which ruined the texture. ⢠The Garlic Yogurt Dip was the only saving grace, adding some flavor to the meal. ⢠Ordered Pizza No. 6 (Chicken and Pesto), which was average at best. Iāve had much better pizzas elsewhere, so this one didnāt stand out.
Ambiance & Cleanliness: ⢠The cleanliness standards were poor. Plates, cutlery, and glasses all had visible stains and had to be replaced. ⢠The pizza baking station, which is visible to customers, had multiple stains on the glass partition, giving an unkempt impression.
Service: ⢠Service was slow and lacked professionalism. The staff didnāt seem attentive, which added to the frustration.
Overall: The food, ambiance, and service all fell short of expectations. For a place that emphasizes sourdough pizza, the execution was underwhelming. The lack of cleanliness and professionalism further dampened the experience. I left very dissatisfied and would not recommend this...
