Highly Disappointing Experience at Daily Bean Cafe
Today, we visited Daily Bean Cafe near Mantri Webcity, and unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant experience. We ordered the Non-Veg English Platter breakfast, which included an egg, two hash browns, two sausages, and two pieces of toast, accompanied by a chai. We also ordered a pancake. The total bill came to around ₹420, with ₹300 for the breakfast platter alone.
Frankly, the pricing does not match the quality or quantity of the food served. The French toast was possibly the worst I’ve ever had, and the masala omelette was just a plain egg mixed with onions and chilies—hardly what I expected from a place promoting "English breakfast." To top it off, it took an unreasonable 35 minutes just to receive the chai, and that too after we had finished the meal. Despite complaining four times, the service remained extremely poor, highlighting a serious issue with the management's ability to handle crowds.
As for the pancake, a single piece was served, and it was definitely not worth the price.
If you're looking for a satisfying English breakfast, I highly recommend visiting Falcon Green or Grill & Chill. For just ₹299 at Falcon Green, you’ll get a proper English breakfast with four pancakes, tea or coffee, hash browns, sausages, a fruit bowl, zucchini, bean fillers, an omelette of your choice, and watermelon juice. Grill & Chill even adds French toast to the platter for the same price.
Overall Verdict: Please think twice before spending your money at Daily Bean Cafe. It’s definitely not worth the hype, and we left feeling highly...
Read moreCharity begins at home”, they say but for the three sibling, founders of The Daily Bean, it means “Charity is for the home”. This is an impressive story of Sridhar, Venilla, and Anbalagan grew up as siblings in a model children’s home in Bangalore. As the grew through school and college life, they felt the need to give back to the home that provided them with so much, especially the motto You are blessed to be a blessing to others.’
This lead to their entrepreneurial venture The Daily Bean. They state that profits from this venture channel back to the home they grew up to help other children growing up there.
The café has is located in one of the by lanes in Kothnur but you don’t miss it because of the prominent signage. The café has a positive energy with comfortable seating. A good place to catch up with friends for your daily dose of coffee. While for ordering they follow a prepaid model, service is at the table.
We decided to try the one of their signature Apple pie ( Crumble). An Apple Crumb Pie is a tender flaky crust filled with sweet juicy cinnamon apples topped with a delicious crumb topping served with a dollop of ice-cream or whipped cream. This was really very good, probably amongst the best you would get in the vicinity. It would probably be worth driving a few extra miles to dig into one of them. I personally would have preferred it to be served a little hotter that what was.
Overall a good place to catch up with friends and with Thanks Giving, a few weeks away, what better way to give back than by enjoying your favorite cuppa with the famous apple...
Read moreI've been visiting this cafe for quite a number of times now and the be honest it's one of the best cafes in hennur. The story of this cafe is also interesting and is something I really liked.
The ambiance is decent with some unique lighting with warmer bulbs and darker walls. It's a perfect place to get some work done or maybe meet your friends on a cup of coffee on a chilly evening. I must say that this place is a wonderful and cozy place.
I've had their cappuccino, cold coffee, hazelnut coffee, cold coffee, Americano, red velvet cupcake, and vanilla Oreo cookies. I loved all of them. The cappuccino at 90 rupees is the most worthy of all the items I feel. The quantity is fulfilling. All three desserts are well made and fairly priced and appetizing.
The staff's very friendly and don't mind if you give them suggestions. I've spoken to Sridhar (one of the founders) a couple of times and he's an amazing guide and would definitely help you choose whatever you want in a better way suiting your taste.
Good to know stuff: If you're a regular visitor you get added to their message lists where they regularly update everyone in the list about the discounts and offers. They also sell tote bags, earrings, and simple jewelry items. Finally, if you spend 300 rupees or more, then after your 10th visit, coffee cup bearing your name is kept in their hall of fame.
I must say, if you're around hennur/kothanur you definitely need to give this place a try. I'm sure you would not regret.
