Trayam Restaurant – A Complete Disappointment
Trayam Restaurant, which proudly markets itself as "Trayam - A Vegetarian Creation," should seriously consider rebranding to "Trayam - A Vegetarian Disaster." The experience was nothing short of infuriating and unprofessional.
Lack of Coordination and Communication Among Staff The service at Trayam was chaotic, reminiscent of maneuvering through peak Bangalore traffic. The staff displayed an astounding lack of coordination, communication, and cooperation. It was evident that no one had a clear understanding of their responsibilities, resulting in a disorganized and frustrating dining experience.
Delivery of Food – A Comedy of Errors with Audacity to Match We ordered: • Ghee Rava Onion Dosa • Poori Bhaji • Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa (2 plates) • Butter Masala Dosa • Ghee Plain Dosa While the vadas and one Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa arrived promptly, the Ghee Rava Onion Dosa was served much later. The real audacity was in their handling of the The Ghee Plain Dosa(Picture Attached) was another disaster. Instead of a plain dosa, we were given yet another Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa. Upon returning it, the staff scraped off the masala and presented it as "Plain Dosa"—still containing remnants of pudi. Butter Masala Dosa—it was replaced with yet another Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa. When pointed out, the waiter took it back, slathered some butter on it, and returned it as though we wouldn’t notice. Such disregard for quality and customer satisfaction is unprofessional.
Unbearable Wait and Billing Fiasco: After enduring this comedy of errors, we had to wait an additional 15–20 minutes for the bill. When we finally approached the staff, they had no record of what we had eaten, forcing us to recount everything ourselves. To make matters worse, the manager was nowhere to be found during peak hours, leaving the staff to flounder on their own.
Disorganized Kitchen and Subpar Food Quality: As the kitchen is open, I had the opportunity to observe the operations, and it was a picture of disarray. Despite dosas being the most popular breakfast item, there were only three stoves dedicated to making them. Vadas, though fried quickly, were immediately placed under a heat lamp and served cold and soggy. Condiments were rationed so sparingly it felt insulting. The waiters had no clue what they were delivering, and it was evident no one had control over the situation. The least a customer expects after such a long wait is hot, flavorful food—but that never happened.
A Lack of Leadership and Professionalism: In any restaurant, especially during peak hours, the presence of a manager is non-negotiable. This neglect of basic management principles left both the staff and customers utterly frustrated.
Final Verdict:
Trayam Restaurant epitomizes how money alone cannot create a successful dining establishment. It requires organization, professionalism, and respect for the customer’s experience—qualities that Trayam sorely lacks. Until this restaurant undergoes a complete overhaul, "Trayam - A Vegetarian Disaster" is the most fitting description. Save yourself the frustration and opt for a dependable local Udupi restaurant instead. ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING. Would never return...

Now the bads, the list is super big:
Food: Malai broccoli was ok ok, nothing great.
Granitas martini was full of just crushed ice, they should go to Truffles and see how it should be made.
Teen mirchi panner curry - as the name suggests, it just had 3 small pieces of bell pepper. We were under the impression that there will be 3 types of bell peppers, this is cheating. Quantity - very very less, taste ok ok. Subji patiala was again ok ok along roti and kulcha.
Nawabi biryani was not so great. Very disappointing.
Place: Which ever idiotic insta vlogger said that the place is big is definitely lying. The place is super small. It looks fancy but it's unrealistic. Nonsense parking concept where you can just park 5-6 cars at the back. They have wasted so much space for the drive way on both sides + parking place. They could have used it completely and made it a big seating area. Wasted additional space for self service which was definitely not needed. That entire place could have been used for seating or for the kitchen. It was Saturday evening and not even 1 person was there in the self service section. Over buildup of using QR code for the que to book the table instead of just telling your name at the entry
Menu: Being a new place, you would expect all the items on the menu to be available. Unfortunately, half of the items were unavailable. Why do you open places if you can't handle the logistics Stupid and fancy names of dishes which didn't make any sense. In addition, there is no description of what that item is. How the hell can you understand what item to order. They have some stupid name for paneer butter masala, you will go crazy hearing it.
Overall, a simple waste of money. For 4 people, we paid more than 2.5k and were not satisfied with the food as well. Definitely not worth it.
Also, most of the reviews look fake to me. Check the reviews, 70% of the reviews are given by people who have given only have a couple of reviews under their belt - 2, 4, 5 reviews etc... full fake. Don't fall...
Read moreI recently had dinner at Trayam Vegetarian Creations with my 10-year-old son, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience. Although it was just a regular dinner after a day of Christmas shopping, it left a lasting impression on me.
We ordered Paneer Londonwala with two butter rotis, a garlic naan, and classic noodles. Initially, I found the menu slightly pricey, but after tasting the food, it was absolutely worth every penny. The Paneer Londonwala, in particular, was a standout—rich, flavorful, and aromatic. Even now, I can still savor its lingering aroma. I suggest dining with your hands to fully enjoy the wonderful textures and smells that enhance the overall experience.
The restaurant offers a variety of cuisines, including Japanese, Italian, and Thai, but as it was a simple dinner, we stuck to familiar options. I’m now tempted to return and explore their diverse menu.
The ambience is stunning—meticulously crafted to provide a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. It’s evident that the owner is deeply passionate about ensuring a flawless setup, from the décor to the service standards.
Speaking of service, a special shoutout to Pooja, who attended to us with genuine warmth and care. She ensured my son’s needs were met and made the entire experience even more pleasant. The food was served promptly, and every interaction reflected a sense of humility and professionalism. The entire team deserves recognition, including the master chef, whose culinary expertise shines through every dish.
It’s rare to find vegetarian restaurants that deliver such authentic, high-quality food. Trayam Vegetarian Creations is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. While this was a regular dinner, I am already planning to bring my entire family here for a special occasion. This place truly deserves multiple visits, especially for those who appreciate fine vegetarian dining.
