The Red Lantern Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I recently moved to kasturi nagar...and my house happened to be in the same lane of the red lantern...saw ths Is restaurant everyday amd finally thought of visiting... To begin with...cost of 2 is not rs. 400 as shown in the 1st page...well, it cannot be because the main course(non vegetarian gravies) starts at rs. 320.... So if you have a starter and with main course like rice/noodles and gravy...it would come around rs.700 to rs.800.. Now lets talk about the food... Chicken momo: this was one of the better momos I've had in bangalore...it was juicy, like really... the moment you take the 1st bite you would know what i mean... Burnt garlic chicken rice: the fried rice was good....it did not taste like burnt garlic though...did not get any flavour of the burnt garlic. Hot & spicy chicken: i wanted to try something which was spicy and which had no sweet taste in it and waiter suggested this dish.... it wasnt sweet but wasnt spicy either... no complains though...it went well with the rice...

Special mention....the staffs were very nice and polite and they have knowledge about the dishes which were there in the menu. Thumbs up to them...

I found one of the best Chinese foods I've had in recent years here; inexplicable quality and taste of foods! Outstanding starter options, my favourite was the 'Pepper prawn' (if i remember the name correctly); it's a must have; I've recommended it to several people and all of them have loved it and revisited multiple times just to have that! The momos are excellent too; and so is the hot n sour soup! If someone's fond of a little spicy food, Thai rice is an excellent option along with some Manchurian perhaps! I accidentally entered the kitchen while going to the toilet and was in awe of the cleanliness of the place; it hardly looked like a kitchen and yet it was in full swing, as it was peak dinner time! Service is excellent too and the staff are always at your service! There's plenty of parking opportunities in the lanes nearby! Overall I had a GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE at 'The Red Lantern', I'll visit this place whenever I'm in Bangalore! I wish it was in my city instead of Bangalore so that I could...

Good Asian food.. I really like tge ambience and service. Momo here is probably the best one that I have tried in Bangalore. Cost is medium high.

Update 14 February 2020: went to our old place for dinner after almost a year. It is not the same. The small restaurant is crowded by 8-10 zomato/swiggy delivery executives inside. With due respect to them, it does not feel nice when u expected to dine in private in a good ambience (and pay for it) and found a crowd of gentlemen standing around your table and chatting among themselves. The restaurant has prioritised to serve the delivery orders over the table orders. So, we got out food almost after 1.5 hours of waiting. The price has increased and you cannot consider it as a affordable restaurant anymore. The food taste is still good and we enjoyed that. However, for the service and ambience, I am reducing...
