Average ambience , horrible service , and average food defines this place .

The place has around 10 tables , with a lot on the menu with extremely bad service .

Being an eggetarian , I had mentioned it to the waiter that in a group of 13 people only two were eggetarians (we had also seated separately in the corner to help identifying us for servicing ) and had ordered veg food with one of the egg items from the menu .

While having the food we realised prawn was part of the dish . When it was highlighted , there wasn’t any apology but informed they would replace the item which I wasn’t okay. With no apologetic behaviour I wanted to talk to the manager and wanted it to be removed from the bill and waiter informed that manager wasn’t around (although owner’s wife was present in the restaurants who co owns the place ) . When I wanted to speak to the manager and asked for the number it was informed that it will not be part of the bill .

Manager /owner turns up in next ten minutes and I want to highlight the issue but beating around the bush is what all I get ! I just wanted to give the feedback on the situation and how acknowledging the mistake would have been welcomed !

Fast forward to the gist - “madam , this is a veg - non veg hotel and these things happen here “ my conversation ended there .

For eggetarians/ vegetarians - this place is definitely not recommended . Also one of the sauces had an insect (attaching the picture of the same ) and were not in a mood to highlight this to restaurant .

Veg dishes were average

I have heard non veg dishes (some of them ) were good from...

Visited Thoranam on 20/12/24 for a dine-in experience at table 7. Unfortunately, the food quality was far from satisfactory. Here's a detailed account of the issues faced:

Food Quality:

Nellore Fish Meal (HSN: 3251): The dish was extremely sour, tasting more like tamarind water with oil and boiled fish. This is not how authentic Nellore Chepala Pulusu should taste. Guntur Chicken Meal (HSN: 5201): The kebabs were prepared with reused oil, leading to a burning sensation in the mouth. Upon asking a waiter about the fish, I was informed that the sour taste is typical of Andhra cuisine. However, this explanation does not hold as true Andhra dishes have a balanced flavor profile, not just overwhelming sourness.

Service and Ambiance: The service was subpar, with staff unable to provide a satisfactory response to our concerns.

Price: For the quality of food served, the pricing is unjustifiable. Here’s a breakdown from our bill:

Nellore Fish Meal: ₹319.00 Guntur Chicken Meal: ₹299.00 Total (including SGST and CGST): ₹649.00 Suggestions:

Hire chefs who are genuinely skilled in preparing authentic Andhra cuisine. Ensure food is prepared with fresh ingredients and oil.

Overall, the dining experience was disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Andhra food. The quality does not justify the price, and there are far better...

Don't waste your money here. The food is bad, and the price is too high. There are much better places to eat. Visited Thoranam on 20/12/24 at table 7 and had a terrible experience. The food was awful. Nellore Fish Meal: It tasted like tamarind water with oil and boiled fish. Not authentic at all. Guntur Chicken Meal: The kebabs were cooked in reused oil, burning my taste buds. When I asked a waiter about the fish, he said it's supposed to be sour because it's Andhra cuisine. That's no excuse for serving bad food. Service: Poor. Staff couldn't address our concerns. Price: Overpriced for the quality. Our bill was ₹649.00, which is not worth it. Suggestions: Get real Andhra chefs. Use fresh ingredients and oil.
