I've recently been stopping by Ugadi Cafe for breakfast on Sundays while passing through Tin Factory towards Mahadevapura. This self-service spot offers a great selection of authentic Namma Karnataka Pure Vegetarian dishes at pocket-friendly prices. The cheerful staff, nice ambience, and clean & hygienic environment make it a great place to visit with family and friends. (*Sunday morning between 8:30 and 11:00AM is little crowded however, service is quick).
I enjoyed their mini tiffin, which includes Idly, Vada, Karabath, Kesaribath, Pongal, and a mini masala dosa with a variety of sides. Serving size of mini tiffin is adequate to one person and value for money. My favorites are the Poori Sagu and the Sambar dip Idly & Vada. I recently visited Ugadi Cafe and was thoroughly impressed with their authentic South Indian cuisine. The Masala Dosa was simply perfect – crisp on the outside and filled with a deliciously spiced potato filling. Every bite was packed with flavor!
The Poori was light and fluffy, served with a flavorful curry that complemented it perfectly. It’s hard to find Pooris this good!
Their Idly and Vada were soft and fresh, paired with piping hot Sambar and a variety of Chutneys. The Sambar had just the right balance of spice and tang, while the chutneys were rich, fresh, and truly elevated the entire meal.
Overall, the food was authentic, flavorful, and made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back to Ugadi Cafe for more of their delicious South...
