Cakes — Restaurant in Bidhannagar

This incident took place on 9th May mother's day. Due to covid restrictions I had called up the cakes store in Salt Lake and order a cake with mother's day msg on it. I had asked them that since it's covid times and the government has restricted all restaurants/bakeries for take away only so can they deliver it in the car.....to which they complied......now 5 min before reaching I called them again and told them to get the cake ready to which they said it's ready...... just when I reach the store it started to rain and I was parked right outside their store but they refused to come out and deliver in the car because of the rains and asked me to stand outside their store.....I went in the rain waiting outside their store to pick up my pre placed order but they just didn't respond......they didn't take my calls even though I was standing right outside their store..... And when finally one of the staff came out just to tell me that I have to order......I told them that I had already ordered and I was there to pick up but they had not prepared the order....... when I told them that this is not a way to deal with customers they said that I am no vip and big VIPs with Lal battis come to their store......the arrogance and attitude of the store staff was appalling.......if this is the attitude towards customers who in this pandemic and rain and troubled times come to your store.....then I am sorry to say but you don't value your customers who have stuck by you since ages.......

I ordered a black current cake on 28 th December 2024.I went to the shop on the morning at around 12 pm and placed the order for the aforesaid cake and never took it with me as I was away from home and according to the shop representative present there the cake would not last for more than 2 hrs outside refrigerator.So I told them to make the cake ready by 8 pm and I will take delivery from them at 8 pm and my home is 15 minutes distance from their shop.Upon picking up the cake at prescribed 8 pm when I reached my home at 08:15 and unpacked the cake at 08:30 it was not at all good at seeing at the first time.Irony was after we ate it....the cream layer on the cake was nothing but artificial foam that too was stale at every extent and it felt having no taste at all.The choclate layer inside of the cake was leaking water like it was a sponge ball and upon pressing the cake parts water was leaking from everywhere.Overall the cake was a tasteless mass of undigestable foam which I brought from them at the expense of 1200/- rupees.As the cake was totally preserved by them at their store so there was no damage done due to undue preservation from my side.EITHER THEY HAVE PROVIDED ME A ROTTEN CAKE OR A CAKE WHOSE EXPIRY DATE WAS OUT OF NORMALCY.Only one request to them thereafter there are many cake shops in Kolkata apart from yours....never think that you will thrive many days selling products like these in...
