Few days back I visited this place. Hatari is one of the best restaurant that serves some of the best Chinese delicacies since 1966, in the City of Joy.
Coming to the food, ambience and service:
Food- Their Chinese is amazing, I mean among all the famous Chinese restaurants in Kolkata, Hatari will always hold a place in the top 3. Apart from Chinese you can try their North Indian and Seafood. They are amazing too.
We had:
Starters: β’ Mongolian Chicken β’ Pan Fried Chilli Fish β’ Konjee Crispy Lamb β’ Steamed Momo β’ Crispy Golden Prawn At first, lets talk about the starters. Now I am not going to point to any particular item and say that it is highly recommended, as all of them are highly recommended. You cannot choose among them, which one to rank 1 and which one to rank last.
Main Course: β’ Ten Treasure Noodles- This one is made up with 10 different types of veggies, thus the name is so. β’ Nasi Goreng β’ Special Fried Rice β’ Lun Woo Yak See- A special lamb preparation. β’ Drunken Prawns β’ Tsinghoi Chicken β’ Lamb in Black Pepper Sauce
Same goes for Main course too, can't really tell which one is not highly recommended. The best part is the quantity they provide which is more than sufficient for two people. We were so full, that we missed the desserts. Rating: 5/5
Ambience- Ambience is normal, cool and calm and also comfortable. Rating: 4/5
Service- Their hospitality is one of the best thing you'll get. They are very helpful, humble and polite. They will help you with your choice of foods, their suggestions are quite...

Visited Hatari Baguihati with high expectations, but sadly, the experience turned out to be quite disappointing.
We started with Hot & Sour Chicken Soup, which was overwhelmingly sour β not balanced at all. Things took a more awkward turn when our Crispy Golden Fried Prawns were served without any plates or cutlery. It was only after we pointed it out that someone hurried over to apologize and set the table.
In the middle of our meal, the AC was suddenly turned off, making the ambiance quite uncomfortable. For the main course, we waited for nearly 55 minutes. After finally raising a complaint, we were told it was βbeing prepared.β It genuinely felt like we were being passively targeted for having pointed out an issue earlier.
When the food finally arrived, the rice was well-cooked, but the chicken was overly salty. While the manager did attempt to handle the situation, the service delays and overall mismanagement were beyond salvageable.
Verdict: First visit β and likely the last. Poor coordination, delayed service, and lack of basic hospitality made the entire experience underwhelming. Not...

Hatari is famous for chinese dishes and they are quite authentic in their dishes. The branch place is on VIP road, near Raghunathpur, next to Jora mandir and Baguiati. They have many more branches in Kolkata like one in Gariahat. This place in VIP road, has ample place for parking and situated on the main road itself. The place was not at all crowded. So we had a very good time over there. Interior was good with Budhha statues and paintings all over. Talking about the hygene, all the staffs Wire masks and one thing I noticed that they put all the cutlery dipped in hot water. Now coming to the food part. So we ordered Chilli chicken, Fish and Chilli lamb in the starter. In the main course we took chicken Prawn meifoon, which is nothing but noodles made of rice alongwith tum pao chicken, chilli garlic fish and Mangolian Prawn as main course. Mangolian prawn and lamb were the shows Toppers. We had ordered simple meifoons as we wanted to make a Contrast with spicy gravy side dish. Overall ratings: Ambience : 3/5, Hygene : 4/5, Food 4/5. Connectivity is also very good for this place. However price pinch is on a little...
