Few days back , we were at the @indiansummercafe . Being in the center of the town , it attracts the people of all age group. This cafe has a premium old and rustic look. I really like their interiors which is way different than any other cafes in town. They also have their own bakery and too has a space for birthday party and private meetings etc. Now coming on their food , we tried their - Citrus Chicken Salad (Rs.295) - This was the best chicken salad I ever had. It had the right amount of chicken and all those veggies with cream.
Dahi Ke Kebab (Rs.275) - Their dahi ke kebab wasn't that fascinating. The spices were not properly balanced and the texture of curd was not proper.
Tandoori Chicken Momos (Rs.345) - The sizes were way too big. The covering was all good and crispy but the filling of chicken wasn't minced properly and the chicken pieces were hard on chewing.
Chicken Tikka Masala Quesadilla (Rs.395) - Always wanted to try a quesadilla. Its taste was too good. The covering was crispy and the filling of chicken was flavorful.
Three Peppers Pizza (Rs.325) - It had the thinnest base among all the pizzas I ever tried. And the base was overcooked on the outer side and resembled a Papad.
Creamy Parmesan Pasta (Rs. 345) - I can say that this is one of the best pasta in town. All those cheese and cream is enough to melt you.
Stuffed Grilled Chicken Breast (Rs. 375) - This was the highlight of the evening. This was a new dish for me and I was amazed with its taste. Grilled Chicken was served with mashed potatoes , veggies and all those mushroom creams. A must try dish.
Paan Tiramisu (Rs. 195) - Taste was good but it didn't has as such flavour of Paan. The flavour was too light to detect it.
Chocolate Fondant (Rs.195) - A really good option for chocolate lovers. That overflow of warm chocolate was enough to salivate. 🤤
Nutella Orange Shake (Rs.269) - Not good. The shake was thin and it didn't have any flavour of nutella.
Nutty Kulfi Shake (Rs. 269) - This on the other hand was really good. Although it was also not that thick.
Our overall experience was good. They do have to improve some of...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing dining experience. Despite its promising interiors (which is now not maintained at all), the reality fell far short of expectations.
Let's start with the service – unprofessional and non-helpful hardly begin to describe the demeanor of the wait staff. Their lack of attentiveness and dismissive attitude left much to be desired. It's disheartening when you're met with indifference instead of warmth and hospitality.
Now, onto the food. As someone with a discerning palate, I was thoroughly disappointed by the bland offerings. Even more disheartening was the fact that the kids at the table completely disliked their meals. The jeera rice, was a major letdown, riddled with unexpected stones – a glaring oversight that one wouldn't even expect from a local dhaba.
To add insult to injury, we ordered the Keema-Kaleji, specifically confirming mutton, only to be served chicken instead. This blatant misrepresentation not only highlights a lack of attention to detail but also a disregard for customer preferences.
However, what truly soured the entire experience was the staff's utter rudeness. Despite having a service tax included in the bill, there was a glaring absence of any semblance of service. It's baffling how such behavior is tolerated in an establishment that's meant to provide a pleasant dining experience.
In conclusion, the negative vibe permeating throughout the restaurant was disheartening and certainly below the standards of even the most sub-optimal food joints in the area. As a foodie who appreciates quality cuisine and attentive service, I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a satisfying...
Read moreI was a regular of the cafe (once every few months) and was a fan of the food and service. But the last visit was very disappointing. We were given a table on first floor from where it was impossible to call any waiter for anything including refills for water. We ordered pizzas and sandwiches and fries. The thin crust was soft and cold and the topping rubbery. The fries were super soaked with oil. The sandwiches were good but again cold. No oregano or chilly flakes or ketchup was provided with the pizzas. After the food the bill was served without any mouth freshener or saunf was provided on asking. The return money of around ₹40 was given in coins of ₹5 & ₹2 which are difficult to pickup. So I had to pay ₹141+₹40 as service charge against my will to pay a single rupee. I write this review so that the owners know that the experience has depreciated and I am one of the hundred dissatisfied customers who will take this effort to write a review. Please take control of the service and food before everyone thinks of skipping the restaurant as I am going to...
