Let's cut straight to the point- Ain't Worth It. Located on the south of Dak Bunglow Chowraha next to Buddha Smriti Park, this old school diner has very little to offer for what it demands. Pseudo-luxury and inappropriately claustrophobic. Had a long recommendation to try out the South Indian there, especially Masala Dosa. Utterly disappointed. Good for families or a small business meeting over lunch but nothing fancy. Straight up lounge, straight up food. The experience isn't that exuberant as well. For the price, there are quite a few restaurants these days that would indeed offer a better food, service and experience overall. As suggested, we walked in the super claustrophobic diner. Got ourselves a couple of seats and ordered what's been a folklore to the locals, that is their must try South Indian speciality. Took quite a time for our dosa to arrive though. Nothing special, small portions, bland taste, mediocre service. Nothing special at all after paying a special price!? Local food vendors offer better South Indian Dosas at half the rates. Other parts being a big bummer bring the water glasses served not washed properly, poor choice of paper napkins, waiters literally hanging on your neck for your entire dinner as there's absolutely no space whatsoever for them to stand aside. The ceilings' low and crammed. The "security" guard at entry gate is creepy AF for tips! Definitely a Big NO for me next time. Great place for retired officials and grandparents, but not for us. I'm not hating on the place itself. It's just that I feel my money went down the sewer. Nothing special. Just overpriced. No great food. No good service. Don't know what are they charging that high for. Also, for Dosas, I can name a dozen better places in Patna that would be way more VFM and with a "fine dine experience". Not recommended. But try for yourself.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bansi Vihar, and I must say, it was a truly authentic South Indian experience. From the moment we walked in, the aroma of freshly made dosas and sambar filled the air, transporting us to the streets of Chennai. The service was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff happy to guide us through the extensive menu. We started with the classic Idli and Vada, which were soft, fluffy, and perfectly complemented by the spicy sambar and coconut chutney. A flavorful explosion. The Pav Bhaji was a masterclass in texture and taste. Soft, buttery pav paired perfectly with a rich, spicy bhaji made with tender veggies and a hint of sweetness. But the real showstopper was the dosa - crispy, golden, and served with a generous helping of spicy potato masala. It was love at first bite. A culinary delight. The dosa was a perfect blend of crunch and softness, with a delicate golden crust giving way to a fluffy interior. The flavors were authentic and rich, with a hint of fermentation. Paired with a spicy sambar and creamy coconut chutney, it was a match made in heaven. Each bite was a masterclass in texture and taste, leaving me wanting more. A must-try for any food enthusiast, this dosa was a truly unforgettable experience that showcased the best of South Indian cuisine. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with traditional South Indian decor adding to the ambiance. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries or crispy dosas, this place has something for everyone. Can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings.

Looking for South Indian cuisine at Patna ? What are you waiting for...just step in here... One of the best restaurant in Patna at just a walking distance from Patna Junction... Easily you can reach here...auto and battery rickshaw are available throughout the day... Very Tasty Dosa is handcrafted here...the masala of the dosa is well cooked...sambhar and chutney are also well flavoured..If you visit in the night..you may have to face diluted sambhar and chutney with disturbed flavour... Idly is very soft and just get dissolved in mouth within minutes... Do visit this place. Happy fooding 😊

This restaurant isn't just about food; it's about a complete, warm, and utterly delightful dining experience. Ambiance and Service The atmosphere here is simply perfect. It's cozy and intimate without feeling cramped, with soft lighting, exposed brick, and the gentle buzz of happy conversation. The soundtrack was a subtle, jazzy background hum that never interfered with our talk. Our server, Maya, was an absolute gem. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without hovering. She had excellent recommendations and paced the meal perfectly, making us feel genuinely cared for and allowing us to truly relax and enjoy ourselves. The Food: Culinary Perfection The menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and classic techniques, and everything we ordered was executed flawlessly. Appetizer: We started with the Goat Cheese and Fig Tartlets. The pastry was buttery and delicate, and the sweet figs paired with the tangy, warm goat cheese were an explosion of complementary flavors. Highly recommended! Main Course: I chose the Pan-Seared Duck Breast with cherry reduction. The duck skin was rendered to a perfect, crisp crackle, and the meat itself was tender and pink. The sauce was rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced—it was one of the best duck dishes I've ever had. My partner's Mushroom Risotto was creamy, earthy, and clearly made with high-quality stock and fresh fungi. Dessert: We ended the meal with the Lavender Crème Brûlée. The sugar crust was shattered with a satisfying tap, revealing a velvety, fragrant custard beneath. A perfect, light finish. Final Verdict The Copper Kettle is a standout. The quality of the ingredients, the skill of the kitchen, and the genuinely outstanding service all come together to create a memorable night out. It's the ideal spot for a date night, a special celebration, or just a truly excellent meal. We can't wait to go back! Pro Tip: Be sure to make a reservation, especially on weekends—this place is popular...

Bansi Bihar Restaurant is a well-known and popular eatery located in the heart of the city, catering to food lovers who enjoy both traditional and modern Indian cuisines. The moment you enter, you're greeted with a warm ambiance and courteous staff who are eager to serve. The seating arrangement is comfortable and clean, with a family-friendly atmosphere that makes it ideal for casual dining and small gatherings.

The menu is extensive, offering a variety of dishes from North Indian thalis to South Indian breakfasts, Chinese options, and a decent selection of snacks and beverages. The taste is generally consistent and satisfying. One of their standout dishes is the Special Veg Thali, which offers a complete and wholesome meal with roti, rice, dal, seasonal vegetables, curd, pickle, and sweet. Their paneer butter masala and masala dosa are also highly recommended for their rich flavors and authentic preparation.

Hygiene is maintained well in the dining area, and the kitchen appears to follow proper cleanliness standards. The pricing is quite reasonable, making it budget-friendly without compromising on quality or quantity. Service time is moderate; during rush hours, you might have to wait a bit longer, but the taste makes up for it.

They also offer parcel and delivery services, which are fairly efficient. However, during peak hours or festival times, delivery might take a little extra time. The restaurant is conveniently located, easily accessible from main roads, and has nearby parking options.

Overall, Bansi Bihar Restaurant is a dependable place for everyday meals as well as occasional dine-outs. Whether you're craving a hearty Indian meal or just a quick bite, it's a good choice. With a bit more focus on quicker service and improving air circulation in the dining area, it could become even...
