Customer Review: A Hidden Gem for Chill Vibes & Great Food
Tucked away in the quiet inner streets, this cafĂ© is a refreshing escape from the usual noisy, crowded places. The moment you step in, the ambience just hits differentlyâwarm lights, aesthetic corners, chill music, and a very âfeel goodâ kind of vibe. Itâs clear this place has been curated with taste, and not just thrown together for social media clout.
We tried quite a few things from the menu, and nothing disappointed. The Alfredo pasta was the highlight for meâcreamy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. Itâs not your average white sauce pasta; this one actually hits the spot. The biscoff shake was thick, indulgent, and perfectly balanced in sweetnessâdefinitely made with good ingredients and not the artificial junk you find in many places.
We also ordered the falafel with hummus, and I have to sayâit was surprisingly authentic. The falafels were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the hummus was smooth with just the right hint of garlic and olive oil. Their peach iced tea was refreshing, subtly sweet, and didnât taste like bottled syrup, which was a pleasant surprise.
Now, about the pricingâit is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly, itâs worth every penny for what you get in return. From food quality to presentation to overall vibe, everything feels premium. Plus, what I truly appreciated was the crowdâno loud, obnoxious people with zero civic sense. The space attracts a more educated, well-mannered, youthful crowd that understands what it means to chill without disturbing others.
Overall, if youâre someone who values quality over quantity, loves authentic flavors, and wants to unwind in a chill, aesthetic environment without the chaos of the usual cafĂ© scene, this place is a must-visit. Itâs a hidden gem where you can truly relax, have great food, and leave feeling like your time (and money) was well spent.

Read moreYou may have not won the Trademark case but you sure won our hearts (and flavour buds too!). Sardar ji Bakhsh boasts of an ambience that will make you forget the hustle and bustle and the rustic undercurrent that flows across Patna, with food that good that it will make you break into a couple of steps of Bhangra. They should launch a theme song of Rang 'Joe' Basanti which should play with every cup-a-joe served because the coffee is pure bliss- smooth, unadulterated flavours that are blend to perfection to give the perfect dose of caffeine. The service does get slow at times as the waiters get swamped with orders and the chefs take their sweet time to prepare their dishes but hey-patience pays! Every dish they make is served fresh and the flavours, bang on point. We ordered a margarita pizza which would any day leave mainstream chains biting the dust and a Vietnamese Coffee which wasn't from 'Nam but out of the world. Not satisfied just yet, we also ordered the Guacamole toast, Crispy Chicken wrap and half a garlic bread (Don't judge, we were famished!). The guacamole was nice but could have been better, as it lacked the zing and we had to add lemon juice to give it that tang whereas the Crispy chicken wrap was erroneously swapped with a Lebanese Chicken wrap which was otherwise perfect- it had a generous serving of hummus which was one of the best I've ever had and the wrap was crammed with succulent chicken strips. The garlic bread took the stage a whole 40 mins late but marked its presence with aplomb- garlicky, flaky and light, with the dip orchestrating the denouement helping us lick our fingers clean.
It may not belong to the cult of Starbucks, but has enough sway to start one of its own. Surely give it a visit and try out the...
Read moreBased on a friend's recommendation, I visited the Sardar Ji Baksh Cafe in Patliputra Colony, Patna. The moment you step inside, the cafeâs rustic design and elegant ambiance captivates you. The entryway features a charming seating area ideal for enjoying pleasant open-air evenings and caters to the smoking community. Upon entering the main area, you are immediately greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere that lifts your spirits.
We chose to sit in a cozy, semi-private room to the right, which enhanced the intimate feel of our experience. The food, however, stole the spotlight. The cafe is unique in town for serving sourdough sandwichesâthe bread was exceptional, although I found the sandwich a bit overwhelmed by an excess of BBQ sauce. Our visit took a delightful turn when we met the owner, Mr. Mayank Lohia, a family friend and acquaintance. Learning of his role behind this wonderful venture, I congratulated him and decided to follow his recommendations.
Subsequently, we sampled the Korean Bun, a dish that was nothing short of extraordinary, and indulged in spaghetti draped in a rich cheese and onion sauce. We also had the opportunity to taste some special menu items that will be officially launched next month, each more impressive than the last. A refreshing peach mojito further added to the experience.
In summary, Sardar Ji Baksh Cafe is a must-visit destination in Patna, not only for its inviting ambiance but also for its superb...
