Saw this place on Lonely Planet Guide and saw it was open on Google. When I arrived the place was closed with a guy inside ignoring me then a man came and they opened the restaurant. They gave me a menu with prices, I chose two dishes, then when I was finishing eating they came and said we're sorry but the prices you see are actually lower than the real ones. So you have to pay more. It's not a question of money, it wasn't much, if they had told me please we have a minimum amount for eating since we open the restaurant for you etc... maybe I would have also accepted, but saying it after dinner is not acceptable. I felt scammed....

I was at my in-laws for Holi and then on fine evening after Holi, we were roaming around Bodh Gaya and while roaming we found this beautiful cafe named Nirvana - The Veg Cafe. We first took the outdoor seating but after few mins moved back to indoor seating due to mosquitoes. We loved the interiors and it had a very cozy feeling. It gave us a very happy vibe. We ordered lemon ice tea along with 2 sandwiches - One Veg Sandwich and another mumbai chutney sandwich. It took around half an hour to get the same served. There was only 1 staff taking orders and delivering, hence delay, I assumed it was Holi after effect. Mock tails and snacks had good flavoursome taste. We enjoyed the food and the ambience. We are from the UK and had the pleasure of visiting your café while we were in Gaya. We were very impressed with the excellent service provided by your staff and also appreciated the high standards of hygiene maintained at your establishment.

However, we did notice that one of your staff members seemed to be struggling with his shoes, as the heels appeared to be in poor condition. We would like to suggest considering trainers for your staff instead of formal shoes. In our opinion, since your team spends most of their time standing and walking, trainers would offer them better comfort and support.

We were especially pleased with the service provided by Pappu and Paramattma, who were both exceptionally helpful. We look forward to visiting again...
