So Delhi Khari Baoli — Restaurant in Chandigarh

I ordered a takeaway of Mutton Roganjosh Butter Chicken, Naan, mirchi parantha and khameri roti. Now both the mutton and the chicken dishes had oil in abundance, that is not to say the gravy didn't taste good, it did but please be prepared for loads of oil. Second the chicken pieces were decent but the mutton pieces were horrible with all bone and no mutton. In fact they were so bad that I couldn't even eat one piece and had throw all of them away. The butter chicken gravy was good but it was sweet despite the fact that I had given the note in zomato that please make it spicy. The Naan was huge and better then what most of the resturants in the tri city are serving as was the mirchi parantha. The prices according to me for the main courses are reasonable but I would advise you to please stay away from the mutton or the bones that they serving in its place. All in all they need to be more careful in what they are sending out and need to read the order notes carefully if they intend to get more customers. Also if possible please save some oil...

We are new to Chandigarh and decided to explore So Delhi this weekend, and it turned out to be such a delightful experience!

The ambience was warm and welcoming, with soothing live music that created a perfect vibe—everyone around was enjoying and even singing along. The owner is such a lovely person, cheerfully interacting with all the customers, which really added a personal touch to the evening.

We requested him to order for us, and he suggested the Changrezi Chicken with Khameri Roti. The food was absolutely finger-licking good—flavourful, authentic, and served in just the right quantity. Service was quick and smooth, making the whole experience even better.

I tried ordering chicken chengezi from the restaurant directly, told the staff that it’s my Grandma’s birthday so kindly make sure there’s less oil in the chicken. I was told the order will get delivered within 45 mins. After one hr, the same guy called saying that is your order confirmed or not. After confirming the order again, I told the guy that I’ll pick it up as he said it’ll take 45 mins more to get it delivered. Finally, the guy said order from somewhere else and hung up on me. This is the first time I have witnessed such ill mannered staff, no wonder nobody goes there, it’s always empty.
