I’m a huge fan of italian food. I visited this cafe as my friend recommended it. We ordered Spaghetti in arrabbiata sauce Mushroom bruschetta Pesto Pizza
Let me share my views on each of these items The spaghetti was cooked well. The sauce however was not upto the mark. Sadly a place that claims to use authentic flavours, did not execute the preparation of the sauce well. It tasted quite bitter and lacked the sweetness of tomatoes. The seasoning wasn’t upto the mark either
The bruschetta was average. It was loaded with cheese which is not the point of the bruschetta. The base of the bruschetta is typically served with a sauce, with a layer of vegetables and herbs followed by a layer of grated cheese (usually parmesan).
This was the most awaited item as it had gained a lot of hype on social media for its authentic pizza. Sadly, after the first bite, we were left disappointed. To be honest, the layering of pesto sauce was just lousy. The sauce was not homemade and was clearly store bought. It was extremely oily and lost its taste during the heating process. It simply turned bitter. I called upon the esteemed staff and asked them if the sauce was freshly prepared, to which they very confidently said yes. To their surprise, we decided to send it back. It seems like they did not expect their award winning pizza to fail so miserably.
And guess what, We had a pizza later at Rojo Tomate, who never fails to amaze.
TLDR; Don’t fall for the hype, especially anything you see on Instagram. It’s...
Read moreCaffe Sicily used to be my go-to place for a nice pizza and some chat with friends. But today, with their ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC SERVICE and BEHAVIOUR by STAFF, they just lost a regular customer FOREVER. The customer service is absolutely pathetic, and the staff is totally bitchy. Its as if they dont want customers to come to their restaurant, because then theyll have to actually work! The quality of food has declined over the while as well. Got so many evil death stares today from the staff, particularly from a lady worker in white shirt, that at that point of time, it just felt damn awkward to even just talk! Then she started bitching about us to her other co-workers and by the end of it, all of the staff was quite literally staring at us, like they were annoyed to host us! Even the person who served us the bill just wanted us to GTFO. Seriously, so damn disappointed to experience such ridiculous service from what was my favourite cafe. Dont simply go here, because the staff doesnt want you there. Never, quite never coming here again.
Update: my original rating was a 1 star, but I changed it to a 3. A duly framed apology message from the team, was enough to atleast show that the team cares about the feedback, that it was seen and heard. Appreciate...
Read moreCafé Slicy is a charming spot that blends great ambiance with delicious food. From the moment you enter, the cozy decor and warm lighting make it feel like the perfect place to relax or work. Their menu is varied and satisfying, with a strong focus on pizza, coffee, and desserts. I tried their signature pizza – crisp, loaded with fresh toppings, and full of flavor. For drinks, I ordered a cappuccino, which was rich and smooth, just the right pick-me-up.
The dessert menu is a standout too; I couldn’t resist the chocolate lava cake, which was decadently good. Service was attentive and friendly, and despite the busy atmosphere, the staff was efficient and quick with orders.
Prices are reasonable, and you’re getting excellent quality for what you pay. Overall, Café Slicy is a hidden gem for casual meet-ups, solo coffee time, or just a break from the everyday. I’d recommend it for anyone wanting a relaxed yet memorable café experience. I’ll definitely be coming back...
