We visited Chandigarh for 2 days and we stayed at this hotel by Treebo. We had made online reservations owing to the rush on weekends. The restaurant has a small board and and it is on 2nd floor of the building. There are stair case which leads to the hotel reception. The reception looks beautiful and welcoming. Although it feels little tiring to take up so much flight of stairs to reach the reception.
In the first impressions the hotel looks promising. We were allotted room number 106 which was adjacent to the reception.
Room: We saw at least three rooms before finalising on this room. The room had ample space and beautiful wall colour. But there was only one chair for sitting on the table. The mattress was spring mattress but it was not at all comfortable. They had given us queen size bed which had dents around. The furniture looked old and not maintained.
Bathroom was neat and clean with branded fittings and fixtures. Although before handling the room they had not provided us with the sleepers or the towel which we had to ask them. The shampoo and the moisturiser provided by treebo had it's seal broken meaning thereby that both of them when not fresh toiletries. Soaps were packed and in good condition.
Food:
We had ordered numerous number of tea which was around 20 rupees per cup. For dinner we had ordered for plain Maggi costing Rs.45 and veg noodles costing Rs. 95. Veg noodles was ok but a little burnt. Maggi was just make Maggi.
Breakfast we had ordered omelette and aloo paratha with curd. Both of them were appetite. Food was overall good.
Its an average hotel with average rent. The experience wasnt very bad so it can be visited again. Although there are many other good options available in Chandigarh so one should exploit those options first before...
Read moreThe hotel has a very shady entrance in a worn down building with no proper sign...very difficult to spot in the dark ...the reception is nice so you have some hopes on this hotel after that bad entrance ...but then they show u to the room....which is incredibly small for 2 people ...very bad lighting ..and very cramped ...no place to walk around at all ...we asked for another room ..this one was a little bigger than the first but still very small...again not much place to walk around ...and was quite worn down...not maintained well...broken sockets...one functional charging point...bad lighting ...broken corners of the beds ...wall plastering worn down ...noisy exhaust in the bathroom ...room not painted in a very long time ...don't even get me started on the WiFi ...the manager connected me to 2 of them ...neither of them work...or if they do it is so slow you would rather not use it in the first place. One issue I faced was with the towels ..they had kept only one fresh towel and since it was 2 of us staying in the room I thought it was an honest mistake that they hadn't kept two....turns out they expect guests to share towels !! I was appalled...I had a fight with the manager and only then was I given an extra towel... Food was decent ...little on the oily side...not many places to eat around ...or maybe because winter had set in, the places were shut ....the only thing I liked about this place was they served good tea and the staff were friendly ...they were trying to make the best of the situation...treebo needs to step up and renovate such hotels ...I can't blame the staff working there for this terrible hotel ... Please don't stay here ..I was surprised it has good reviews on most of the websites and ended up...
Read moreWe didn't have the best stay here. First, when we arrived there was only one towel (we're two), no toilet paper, and no hand towel, so we had to ask for everything to be given. The room itself was very dirty, had lots of hairs anywhere, and what appeared to be vommit stain on one of the walls, that wasn't cleaned. Also it had mold stains everywhere, and there was a constant strong scent of mold, that didn't go away. Moreover, the ac didn't work, and there weren't any windows, so there was no way of getting fresh air inside. The bed was also very dirty, old and had some bed bugs on it. The bathroom didn't have air ventilation, so it stayed full of steam the whole stay, which was very unpleasant. Also, there was no squeegee, so there was no way to drain the water from the shower, and the bathroom floor always stayed wet. To finish things off, the power sockets and the WI fi turned on and off randomly, and we heard rats running on our room's roof several times. We didn't ask for much, but that was just unacceptable. Would...
