Good place to sit, gossip and have a grub with some friends or family. Otherwise, Noida sector18 does not have a place to sit with a close group and spend some time and yet be light on pocket. This does not mean that Bikanervala is inexpensive. It is up to you how you plan your food and make it cost effective. The only drawback is you do not get a cup of tea 🍵 or coffee. This outlet has everything to suit your taste buds.. from simple things like samosa, kachori, outlets to chana bhatura, pap bhaji, chaat etc. If you wish you can opt for Chinese stuff like chowmein and Manchurian too. Still more, you have south Indian food too but not south Indian meals or rice 🍚 dishes. There is Thali system for north Indian food or one can go for a la carte menu as well. Then there is a whole array of Indian sweets or bakery stuff. The prices are not very down to earth but these days you have to spend money 💸 if you want to sit at a decent place with the assurance that what you are eating will not send you to a doctor. This is the difference between sitting at a roadside dhaba or a cheap canteen and a big brand eatery. I often go to this place and spend some time that refreshes our mood too. Sometimes when I didn't want to splurge I confined myself to samosa and sponge rasogulla. Yes, there is always a scope to lift your wishes and spend the way you like and enjoy the food. Food quality is good and meets Indian taste buds perfectly. The Bikanervala outlet in sector 18 also has fine dining facility on the first floor to give you a feeling of being at a special place. Of course, you pay for it. If I want to enjoy and spend some time with my dear ones I prefer going to this outlet in the day time when it is less crowded. In the evenings there is big rush which doesn't suit my temperament. Long queues at the payment counter also puts you off. Service too becomes an issue when there are large number of people. During rush hour this place becomes congested and uncomfortable. If the outlet and the brand is so popular it should get massive area or multiple floors to its patrons a feeling of openness keep them in...
Read more❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌ I recently placed an order through Zomato from Bikanervala, a brand I have always associated with tradition, quality, and authentic Indian taste. However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. What I received was far below the expected standard — honestly, it felt like third-class food. Here is a detailed breakdown of the problems I faced:
Dosa Quality:
The dosa was excessively salty, to the point of being almost inedible. It was clear that no tasting or quality check was done before packing.
It arrived soggy and cold. The texture was completely ruined — what should have been crisp and flavorful tasted bland and over-salted.
I was shocked by the poor execution. It didn't feel like I had ordered from a top-tier brand like Bikanervala at all.
Ras Malai (Both Varieties):
The ras malai was the biggest disappointment. I ordered two different types and expected something rich and indulgent. What I received looked and tasted like watered-down milk with rubbery sweets.
The liquid had no thickness or creaminess, and there was absolutely no trace of saffron, cardamom, or any traditional sweet flavor.
The texture and appearance were far from appetizing. It honestly felt like I had ordered from a roadside dhaba or local sweet shop in Shikarpur.
The ras malai balls themselves were bland, spongy, and lacked freshness. They tasted like they had been stored for days.
Zomato Delivery Partner Feedback:
While the food was delivered on time, the packaging was not handled with care. Some of the contents had leaked inside the delivery bag.
Zomato needs to monitor not just punctuality, but food quality and packaging standards as well. Fast delivery means nothing when the food arrives in this condition.
I have already submitted my feedback on the app, and I sincerely hope it reaches the...
Read moreI recently visited Bikanerwala restaurant at Noida Sector 18 that boasted a wide range of food choices and an extensive menu. However, my experience with the South Indian cuisine left much to be desired. I ordered the South Indian platter and a Rawa Dosa, hoping to savor some authentic flavors.
The South Indian platter consisted of an uttapam, two idlis, two vadas, and one Masala Dosa. Unfortunately, the taste of the idlis and Masala Dosa fell short of my expectations, especially considering the relatively high price of around Rs. 350. The flavors were underwhelming, and I couldn't help but feel disappointed.
The accompanying sambar and chutneys also failed to impress. The sambar lacked the depth of flavor and traditional spices that one would expect from a South Indian dish. Similarly, the chutneys were average at best and didn't add much to the overall dining experience.
One positive aspect of the restaurant was the spaciousness and availability of seats. It provided a comfortable environment for dining and socializing. However, the lackluster taste of the food overshadowed this advantage.
In conclusion, I cannot say that I was impressed with this restaurant's South Indian cuisine. The lack of authentic flavors and the disappointing taste of the dishes make it clear that this is not the ideal place to indulge in South Indian delicacies. While the restaurant may have a diverse menu and ample seating, I would not recommend it for those seeking an authentic and satisfying South Indian...
