First let me justify why I am giving three stars... I could easily give four star rating and wanted it that way only provided the matter was restricted to food and it's taste only. But when you visit an eating outlet or a restaurant you do not go there just for the taste of food. There are a number of other factors that count a lot to us. Nazeer Foods at GIP is certainly not a restaurant but an outlet of the food chain. For lunch or dinner you enter into a small hall which has several tables and chairs neatly placed. It is another matter that the sitting order is neither very comfortable nor gives you he privacy of eating and chatting with your loved ones. This is a self service outlet. This means you place the order of all that food stuff that you wish to eat at one go. Many people will not talk if this but this method robs you if the food charm for which you come here and pay dearly. At Nazeer you order a chicken or mutton curry of your choice, chapatis and a plate of biryani. Now wait for your turn. As soon as the counter alarm rings you bring your favourite delicacies to the table-- everything hot, aromatic and fresh. By the time you all have finished two chapatis all others left in the bowl are cold and barely eatable. This happens if you have ordered sufficient rotis so that they do not fall short. In case they do you have to leave your food midway, wipe your hands with a tissue, pull out the wallet, rush to the counter, stand in the queue, place order and wait till you get next lot of rotis. Till then your curry is getting cold and you are anxiously waiting for your turn to come. Now ask yourself if you thoroughly enjoyed the food that you had ordered at a dear price? Does the price of the food justify itself! The day I visited Nazeer Khamiri and Rumali rotis were not available. Great disappointment because you can't imagine Mughlai food without them. Left with no choice we ordered Tandoori roti as it was the only option. Sadly these were too not properly baked and lacked in freshness. Frankly I did not feel good after eating them but absorbed my emotions. Wasn't it the duty of the outlet to have someone as standby if there was no one to cook rotis that day? Suppose there was none to cook tandoori rotis too that day! Would the the outlet have asked its guests to eat rice only? No good restaurant or food joint can afford to leave its guests disappointed. We all visit a restaurant or a food outlet for comfort and convenience. This is what is missing when you visit Nazeer. Otherwise the food is fairly good, tastes nice and in the end end leaves you happy and satisfied. Most of us are confined to this much and do not see beyond this. I put the blame on the outlet for all the messy experience that you get here. They may not accept it but it is the money that is supreme for the management which runs these outlet without giving slightest thought whether the guest is getting the right food at right price and right method. Self service is fine but should there not be a method that you are not disturbed in the middle of your meal? After all, eating out is all about pampering yourself and nott just satisfying your taste buds. Otherwise in what way eating in your home was inferior! Think and then demand. You do not pay just for food in a restaurant or food outlet; it is...
Read moreMy friend introduced me to this chain. I tried the food at Sector 18 outlet , it was really good. Heavy though(loads of butter and fat !), but its quite good to eat once in a while. Recently I visited their outlet in Sector 38 Noida along with my friend who is a vegan. We ordered Paneer Tikka for him. While we finished our non vegetarian meals, my friend brought to our notice that there was something funny about the paneer. Upon tasting it was learnt that the paneer was spoilt and had gone rancid(possibly due to improper storage, or the paneer was old). Since the only staff outside the service counter were the janitors. We asked the janitor to call the manager to inform him about the poor quality of paneer. He pointed out to a guy standing outside. Poor guy(Janitor) had to struggle to get the manager to the table(this took around 10mins !). We informed the (assistant mgr) manager about the paneer, the manager said that he shall check and get back. We waited for around 10mins(total 20mins from the time of informing about the spoilt dish), and since we were done with our meal we ordered for phirni(dessert) and ate it. There was no sign of the manager who was supposed to get back to us, the guy(manager) supposed to be on shop floor checking on food and service quality was as usual missing in action ! The only guy who could be seen around was the janitor again, we requested him to call the manager since we were told that he shall get back to us. Another 10mins(total 30mins from the time of informing about the spoilt dish) passed by. We figured it was futile to wait, while we were leaving we saw the manager and met him. He told us that he was getting another portion of the dish made, when we impressed upon the fact that we were finished with the desserts and there was no point of having a new portion made. He told us indifferently that we could wait for another 10mins and have it packed ! We tried explaining that nobody eats starters after finishing with desserts and moreover he was supposed to get back to us about the dish, which he never did ! I guess logic simply bounced off that guy's head. Whose best retort was that it was the customer(us) at fault for not informing him in time. We requested that ethically the spoilt's dish amount should be reversed, which he flatly refused and only gave the option the after a further 10mins(total 40mins from the time of informing about the spoilt dish) wait all we can get is the paneer tikka packed. Irritated and frustrated we told him he could have that from our side. He cheekily accepted and thanked us for the paneer tikka portion, Mind You...NO APOLOGY even then ! We walked out, however I guess they just lost customers(3 nos) who nearly spent close to 1.5-2k per...
Read moreA Disappointing Experience
I recently visited the restaurant and unfortunately had a rather disappointing experience. I ordered the chicken butter masala along with butter roti, hoping for a delicious and satisfying meal. However, my experience quickly took a turn for the worse.
As I began eating my chicken butter masala, I noticed the presence of a fly in the dish. Understandably, this was quite off-putting and I brought it to the attention of the staff. They offered to replace the dish, but to my dismay, it seemed they only replaced the gravy while leaving the same chicken piece intact. This was concerning, as it indicated a lack of attention to detail and quality control in the kitchen.
To compound matters, while waiting for the replacement dish, my butter roti grew cold. It was disappointing to have to eat a lukewarm roti, which greatly affected my overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I found the staff to be highly irresponsive when it came to addressing the concerns of their customers. Their lack of attentiveness and willingness to address the issues only added to the frustration.
The unfortunate presence of the fly tarnished the entire experience. The butter roti, had it been served warm, could have been a delightful accompaniment.
Overall, my visit to this restaurant was marred by several disappointments. The presence of a fly in the chicken butter masala, the lukewarm butter roti, and the staff's unresponsiveness to customer concerns left a lasting negative impression. I hope the restaurant management takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their food quality and...
