For our lunch yesterday, I was looking for a new place to try out in DLF Mall of India itself. And coincidently, P. F. Changās opened up here recently! I decided to give this place a try with my family, and itās been a while since I had Asian cuisine somewhere. Situated on the 3rd floor of the mall (where most of the restaurants are); itās easy to spot.
The ambience of the restro is really impressive and that was one of the things that made me decide to have lunch here, if Iām being honest š Luckily, it wasnāt crowded and we got a table easily. So hereās what we ordered for lunch:
Scallion Ginger Chicken Dumplings Itās kind of a ritual for me to order dumplings if Iām visiting an Asian restaurant. I love dumplings and for me, Chicken Dumplings is a must-order dish. At P. F. Changās, we got Scallion Ginger Chicken Dumplings and it was great! Yes, the quantity might be less for some folks but the size & filling of the dumplings made it pretty sufficient.
Mongolian Tenderloins : Velveted tenderloins and green onion sticks, tossed in dark soy sauce, garlic and sesame oil. I donāt usually have beef in most places and the last time I had it was in Bali (months ago!). I instantly decided to have this tenderloin āsmall plateā dish as soon as I saw this on the menu here. The overall taste was good. My mom found it to be a bit sweet but I really liked it.
Pepper Chicken : Sliced chicken, red onions, bell peppers, sambal, black pepper sauce I wanted to have a good combo of chicken dishes with gravy and fried rice. So after taking a while to decide, we got Pepper Chicken along with Chilli Smoked Fried Rice. Pepper Chicken was really nice! And also worked very well with the fried rice. Overall a good main course, for sure.
For drinks, we got these three mocktails: Jade Mojito : A simple mocktail, very much similar to Virgin Mojito but with a hint of green apple & pineapple in it. Pomegranate Lemonade : Another good mocktail if you like pomegranate juice! It was mixed with lemonade. Strawberry Cucumber Limeade : Strawberry & cucumber mixed with homemade lemonade. Nice drink overall.
One of the standout experiences here was the service. Our server, Durga, was very prompt and provided a very quick service. She also taught my mom, very patiently, how to use a chopstick! š
We had a great lunch here and will definitely be...

The restaurant introduced Americans to authentic regional Chinese cuisine, rather than the Americanized dishes like chop suey that were common at the time. Philip Chiang worked in his mother's restaurant, developing his passion for Chinese cuisine before opening his own restaurant, Mandarette in West Hollywood, California, in 1984 to offer a more casual and accessible Chinese dining experience than his mother's high-end Mandarin restaurant.
Paul Fleming, an existing restaurant owner, was a frequent guest at Mandarette. Impressed by Chiang's innovative recipes, Fleming proposed a partnership, resulting in the creation of P.F. Chang's. The first P.F. Chang's opened in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1993. The "P.F." in the name comes from Paul Fleming's initials, while "Chang's" is derived from the last name of co-founder Philip Chiang.
In September 2023 the first P.F. Chang's restaurant in India opened at the Bengaluru International Airport. Their second restaurant in One Lodha Place, Lower Parel opened on January 14, 2024. In April 2024 they opened their third restaurant in India and the second one in Mumbai in Andheri West. The P.F. Chang's restaurant at DLF Mall of India in Noida opened in November 2024. This was the chain's fourth outlet in India and its first in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR).
On a bright sunny Wednesday afternoon, we stopped at this restaurant for lunch. This being a working day, crowd was less and we could immediately get a table of our choice. Their Indian branches have more vegetarian options which is a delight.
We had Burnt Chilli Hakka Noodles and Black pepper vegetables. The Noodles cooked right had exotic veggies in Spicy burnt Garlic sauce. The Black pepper vegetables had a medley of Tofu, Edamame, Water chestnuts, Broccoli, Asparagus, Bell peppers, Napa Cabbage in black pepper sauce. Both dishes did not have the more common āIndian-Chineseā tomato sauce heavy flavours.
After a hearty meal we were surprised to get on the house fortune cookies. It was fun to gently break it and read our fortune.
The friendly staff, nice ambiance and interiors, good food, quick service and delightful fortune cookie to wrap it up made this a delightful...

When you run out of options and suddenly a brand like PF Chang openās up in your locality then who can stop you from visiting it ?
Yesterday, I visited PF Changās in DLF mall sector 18, Noida which is located on the 4th floor & is heavily surrounded by top tier restaurants in Delhi - NCR region.
Ambience of the outlet is very lively with such a beautiful decor.
Talking about the food - Now, here comes the reality check - We ordered some starters like PF Chang chicken & hunan chilli chicken along with their Mandarian crunch salad. The order took around 40 mins. To deliver on our table. Plus, the portion size which they were serving was way too less than the standard size.
Same thing happened on the main course front - We ordered their Hot garlic Sichuan chicken, Thai red curry, chicken changās fried rice and signature lo mein. The whole order took 35 - 40 mins to deliver on our table. Also, the portion size was the main concern again !!
Quality - The quality of dishes which we had were actually good but service and lack of portion somehow killed our mood !! My favourite was Changās chicken fried rice & Thai red curry !!
Staff - Staff was courteous but very slow when it comes to serving. They took a lot of time to deliver. Itās completely understandable that during festive times this has a tendency to happen but at the same time the onus should be on the outlet too who can easily deploy more staff to ease the pressure from their shoulder !!
Price and portion - Well since the inception of this youāve been hearing about the portion which is actually very very less. It was only enough for one person & at the same time its price was similar to its competitor like Kylin.
No offence but they at least offer ample amount of portion !! Also, it would feel way too exorbitant on the clientele against the portion !!
My experience was disappointing and left a negative impression on my mind. The food quality was no doubt good but you need to put emphasis on portion and service timing as well. Itās imperative !!
If youāve a lot of time in your hand then you can hang out...
