DLF Mall of India, is a glance of lush retail brands and fine eateries flourished at one well facilitated arcade.
Amidst the commendable outlets, we have got attracted to the soothing and noticeable exteriors of United Coffee House Rewind. The outlet impressions a fine vintage quotient in terms of classic decor of the ambiance, soothing blue color in almost corners, picture frames and noticeably the lighting too. Seating is stylish and lavish at here.
In APPETIZERS we had,
➊ Red Velvet Tikki. Pan Fried Beetroot, patties infused with mozzarella cheese and pudina raita. The presentation was admirable. The tikki taste alluring and the beetroot flavors influenced so well. Although the quotient of mozzarella was less felt in taste.
➋ Murg Kurchan Tarts. Indian delicacy of chicken scrapings served with tarts. Savory appetizer and a distinctive recipe of flawlessly marinated minced chicken scrapings filled in tarts topped with wholesome butter. Although the chicken felt little over salty, it could be improvised.
➌ Spicy Hunan Prawn. Crispy prawn tossed in spicy hunan sauce. This is one of the non veg or prawn lovers paradise. The appreciating quotient is the size of the tiger prawns. The prawns were marinaded perfectly and it was well assorted with veggies.
In SIGNATURES we had,
➊ Lahori Meat. Boneless mutton with whole spices and red chilies cooked with roasted chana dal, a north west frontier classic. So authentic and flabbergasting flavors of spices infused in the dish is really mind blowing. The concept of dal in the gravy might not be a favorable quotient for all, but the classic infusion is an old artifact and is so much preferable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
➋ Veg A'la Bomb. Round shaped breaded veggies infused with parsley butter, mushrooms, cheese, served on mashed potatoes, side veggies. A fancier presentation of egg shaped batter which contained a lot of parsley butter which was utterly divine. The mushroom, cheese, and the blend of veggies was a great compliment to the overall taste. Great concept with zestful flavors.
In DESSERTS we had,
➊ Atomic Kala Jaam. Creamy kesar, pista volcano. Strictly a dessert to be ordered while visiting in hoard. The size of the kala jamun was so substantial that the overall dessert is a bait to sweetness cravings inside. The divine blend of pistachios, pista flavored ice cream and jamun's sugar syrup gives a divine outcome of satiating taste.
➋ Warm Fudge Cake. Oreo cookie crumble, vanilla creme. The presentation was the foremost joyous aspect to notice at first. The fudge was not actually served warm, was fresh and supple in taste. The superlative infusion of vanilla ice cream was alluring, and topped with oreo and cherries it was indeed so charming in overall taste.
In DRINKS we had,
➊ Rose Sangria. Rose Wine, Triple sec, Peach Schanpps with Seasonal Exotic Fresh Fruits. The most noticeable quotient is the seasoning, which had kiwi, pineapple and peach unlike any other outlets serving wine with apple crumbs, this one felt more delightful.
➋ Red Sangria. Red Wine, Gin, Vodka, White Rum with Seasonal Exotic Fresh Fruits. Red wine was smooth in taste and addition of gin and vodka came up to be a good blend. The fruit seasoning was so overwhelming.
➌ Sitara Phool aur Paani Puri Mojito. Burnt star anise flavored with rose and tamarind water, topped with soda crushed ice. The amalgamation of rose and tamarind water is so pleasing taste, and topped with star anise it was just so appealing. Definitely one of the best signature mocktail they have.
Overall, the experience is quite happening and overwhelming. The most adorable factor in this outlet is the kind of songs they play, the oldies which can make anyone stay seated nostalgic for a prolonged time. The only major flaw felt is the Service Delivery, as staffing was less attentive and that is probably due to the vast spread of ambiance, which really impacts the promptness and needs an improvisation. The place is really a great deal and highly recommended...

Read moreThe staff is uncourteous and has an unwanted attitude. I wouldn't bother coming to this place again due to sheer lack of hospitality.
Ordered a pesto pizza, and most of the toppings mentioned in the menu were missing. When I asked the staff, they took the pizza and just sprinkled some of the uncooked toppings on top of the pizza, and still some of the toppings were missing. And they didn't bother to change the pizza and cook it again with the correct toppings. The MRP mentioned on the mineral water bottle mentions Rs. 60, but the restaurant charged us Rs. 89. It's not that I can't pay them Rs. 89 instead of Rs. 60. But what really bothered, was the attitude of the staff. They didn't want to listen about the government rules and regulations, and did not change the charges on the bill. Moreover, the staff said that we are an 80 year old restaurant, and that makes it a 5 star restaurant to counter my argument about MRP. I asked him to call the manager few times, but he wasn't ready to listen. Only after few attempts did the manager come, and again showed unwanted attitude.
You can get good food at many places, but what really matters is the service and hospitality for which you pay an exorbitant price. United coffee house lacks hospitality, customer respect and willingness to improve and correct the mistakes.
Only because the kulcha was decent in taste, I give them 2 star, else it would be 1.
Part 2; tried ordering after 4 years in hope of something better. Never ordering here again.
Worst ever paneer. Full of colour, raw and no taste. felt like I'm eating raw masalas. never ordering again from here. had one bite and had to throw everything else. not suitable for human...
