Nand Lal Dhaba in Darya Ganj has been a cherished part of my life since my school days. Despite moving away from the area, the allure of this iconic dhaba's food keeps bringing me back, time and again. There’s something about the flavors here that makes it impossible to resist, even if it means traveling from a distance just to indulge in their offerings.
One dish that stands out is their Butter Chicken. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, it’s the perfect balance of tender chicken and luscious gravy that has remained consistently delicious over the years. The Chicken Chaat is another favorite—a spicy, tangy treat that is both refreshing and satisfying. It’s the kind of dish that instantly takes me back to my younger days.
For those who love meaty delights, the Tawa Seekh Mutton is a must-try. The mutton is juicy and well-spiced, cooked to perfection on the tawa, and bursting with flavor. It’s a dish that exemplifies the robust, hearty cooking that Nand Lal Dhaba is known for.
And then there’s the Dal Makhani—a comforting, creamy lentil dish that pairs perfectly with their freshly made breads. It’s a simple dish, but done so well that it feels like home.
Nand Lal Dhaba isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a connection to fond memories and a testament to the enduring quality of good food. Whether dining in or taking away, the experience never...

This dhaba is located near Jama Masjid. My father and I often visit Delhi and being food lovers, especially of non-veg, we decided to try this place. But the experience was really disappointing.
The dhaba is inside a narrow street and located on the second floor. We asked the waiter what their best non-veg dish was — he recommended chicken korma. We ordered it with two butter rotis. While the gravy was hot, the chicken pieces inside were completely cold, which spoiled our mood.
Talking about the interior, it looked very old — old sofas, average tables, and a basic setup with a split AC. The hospitality felt lazy because the place was empty. But when a few other families came, the staff suddenly became active and gave them a warm welcome.
Overall, the food and experience didn’t meet our expectations. Wouldn’t...
Read moreMy father used to dine in here some where around back in 1980s when he was new in Delhi. He always used to tell me the stories of this restaurant. So I decided to visit this place with my father and following are my genuine reviews:
Taste is good and nice (Not Extraordinary) and hygiene level is also good here.
Rates are reasonable based on the quality and hygiene level.
Do try the green chutney they serves with salad. That's really awesome and finger licking.
We ordered dal makhani and mutton keema with butter tandoori roti and everything tastes nice to us.
Overall, I will definitely recommend to visit and dine in over here if you want to have some good food in a...
