1022 Cafe, Delhi — Restaurant in Delhi

What a disappointing and disrespectful place!! Today on 11th June '23 I called this place to request a reservation for 8pm which they noted down and confirmed.

When we reached there they absolutely denied having taken any reservations from me. I insisted that I talked to the number given here in the listing and they confirmed the reservation. They asked me what the name of the person was who took my reservation. Now why would I specifically ask that? I showed them the call logs to which another person claimed that they didn't take any reservations and the fact that they don't. I showed him the call logs too and told him why would I talk to someone from your cafe for 3 minutes if it wasn't for them noting my details down.

They basically called me a liar but instantly they gave us a seat for two. I was in two minds whether to take my business somewhere else or just give them a chance.

I chose the latter and we went inside where we were shown a seat right at the gate which was a sad lonely table with AC water leaking on it.

They had enough courtesy to change that seat though. We saw another table for two that was empty after that and we moved there.

So they did have seats, I think they were just trying to create fake demand by saying there's a waiting time.

We ordered food and the quality was so average. Even the quantity for that matter was absolutely abysmal. Not enough for one person for sure!!

Desserts were a disappointment as well.

Just avoid this place and go somewhere else where the staff has enough courtesy to show respect to their customers.

Definitely going to suggest friends and family to avoid this place...

I went to 1022 Cafe (Resturant) on 17th March 2024. I would like to share my overall experience of this place.

AMBIENCE & STAFF BEHAVIOUR : Staff is ok. Ambience was fine but has no bright lights you would face problem while capturing in dim light or at night time.

PLACE HAS NO SEPARATE SMOCKING ZONE, PEOPLE SMOCKING CIGARETTES ANYWHERE IN THE AMBIENCE. NOT KID FRIENDLY AT ALL.

FOOD : First thing first I would say, I've never had worst food than this ever. I ordered Avocado Sushi in which avocado was missing and was too salty and wasn't even tasted better moreover sticky rice did not cook we'll and was improperly rolled...Wasabi wasn't made authentic...& Ponzu Sauce (soy sauce diping) was way too sweet.. Next If I talk about Panne arabiata, the quality of the pasta was so local.. was improperly cooked it was not al-dante..extremly spicy and salty altogether..Pasta bread was similar to local bakery bread and extremely soggy and the after taste was just similar to the toast with ghee and green chutney.. Fantasy Dream Drink was ok but not exactly like a mocktail..Just like flavoured carbonated water.. Blue Lagoon was just sugar desolved in carbonated soda water..

Overall food costed me Rs. 1750 approx Including GST 5% & SC 10%. Dineout discount 15%

Note: 1.Nobody will serve you welcome water and no one will come to ask you for your order. 2.Either you can ask for waiving off the SC 10% or You can avail 15% Dine out Discount. (Either of the 2 is provided) Overall unprofessional behaviour. Not Recommended Wastage of money

Conclusion: This place doesn't worth the Hype. And doesn't worth more than...

Instagram-Worthy: Both floors of the restaurant are incredibly picturesque. Every corner is a potential Instagram post, making it a favorite for those who love capturing their dining experiences.

Price Concerns: However, I found the prices to be quite high. It feels a bit too expensive for what you get, which can be a downside for budget-conscious diners.

Tasty Food: The food itself is delicious, with a range of well-prepared dishes that tantalize your taste buds.

Small Portions: Despite the tasty offerings, the portion sizes are disappointingly small. For example, the risotto, priced at 700 rupees, left me feeling hungry. I would recommend increasing the portion sizes to better match the prices.

Overall, 1022 Restaurant is a beautiful place with great food, but be prepared for high prices and small portions. If they could improve on portion sizes, it would be a perfect dining...
