Kiona Patio & Bar by 7 Old Town — Restaurant in Delhi

This place has been the prettiest place i have ever went too and I’m not kidding. We went up to the patio and sat up in the courtyard. The terrace is so classy and sophisticated. The glass room up there gives a mere rich vibe while the wind brushes past our face. Its one of the most beautiful place up there with the right essence of food and service lighted up in the aura. In love with the interiors and decors which gives the luxury vibe to the restaurant. So coming to food we ordered a mimosa which had a tiny bit of vodka and the required orange scent with it, matching perfectly with the ambience along with some apple cidar mocktail for the breeze out there. Both of the beverages had their signature taste and blended perfectly with the air . We ordered three dishes, mexicana burger, red thai curry served with vietnamese spring rolls and falafel and pita get the adrenaline of the perfect foodgasm. The mexicana burger had rich mexican ingredients with the patty of the burger being so crispy yet so mexican made up of beans,it had an exquisite taste along with the filling and was soothing to eat. The falafel was quite crispy and yummy along with the hummus. Last but not the least the red thai curry, the highlight of the day which I would definitely recommend and advise you to give it a try because it was the best Thai curry I ever had, the tastebuds cravings for thai food had finally been achieved giving the all Thailand vibe to the place with the interiors and the curry rice. Had a really bad experience here.I went after reading good reviews and getting good recommendations for it from fellow colleagues and friends. After we went there saw some kitty party or some nuisance going on in the rooftop area which we were seated on.The music was terribly loud ( can't talk to each other sitting on the same table and this is in the day time at about 1500 )which was requested by the group of females that were partying there.Even after requesting ,the volume and the surround sound was decreased for maybe like 10 mins after which they were least bothered ,and I believe that's because the group was probably known to the owner or someone. The food is good like really good we ordered pizza,dimsums and fries which were good.Drinks were not upto the mark especially the whisky sour. In my opinion if your entire rooftop is to be controlled by one group of people you should either cordon off that area or atleast inform the other people coming there that there is certain type of gathering going on.Everyone has their rights to come party in a way they like but not at the expense of the fun of others.Even after I expressed my dissatisfaction nothing was done as service recovery,I asked to waiver the service charges after such a pathetic experience which was also denied by the people and they had not served us at all,they kept just putting food on the table that's not called service,they were so busy with the females in the other group.I have been to better places in Delhi and even around that same area.I would never suggest this to anyone. 7 Old Town is located around a very busy transport route, nearby Hauz Khas Metro, just alongside the IIT entry pedestrian bridge. And you wouldn't generally expect such a great place here. Not overcrowded with young census like HK village, SDA Market, Satyaniketan etc around the place. Just 3-4 Cafes Bars around 7 Old Town. Which I guess, is a good thing considering Covid.

Now, let's talk about, inside of the Café. Decorated like a American food & bar place with dim lighting and slow music complimenting with projectors showing something on the white chart. Big seating space with variety of seats and seating arrangements. The menu has many options to choose from in all sections. Prices are on the higher side if compared to the portion size.

The staff is courteous and observant, but I think few things could be improved. Like asking and giving drinking water at first; then have an Online menu so that the physical menu don't change multiple tables and hands; keep a sanitizer on the table; don't circulate the same Woodden basket which carries the Oregano, Salt, Pepper, Sauce etc to other tables while one is already using it or at all. Waiting time is 5-10 mins, which is less.

Food and Mocktails were good. Special mention to Vietnamese Roll, beautifully presented and tasted unique than Spring Roll served in other cafes. Please note they charge VAT of 25% on Alcoholic beverages.
