Visited Aka Saka in Defence Colony for a business lunch with clients on 21st May, 2025 and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time.. We ordered Veg Chowmein, Veg Fried Rice, and Veggies in Hot & Sour Sauce — and every single dish was a massive letdown.
The food was absolutely tasteless, with no flavour, no freshness, and to make it worse, there was a stale smell coming from every dish. The vegetables were unevenly and lazily chopped, looking like an afterthought — completely unacceptable for a restaurant at this price point. This wasn’t just my opinion even my clients said the same however they refrained from being critical as they were my guests !!! Horrible experience.
When you are charging premium prices and presenting yourself as a reputable Japanese restaurant, this level of quality is simply unacceptable. We left the place hungry and embarrassed, especially since I had clients with me.
Aka Saka really needs to re-evaluate its kitchen standards and quality control. Until then, I would strongly advise others to skip this place. Places like Lotus Pond in New Friends Colony and brands like Big Wong give a better chinese food experience. I will recommend these two brands anytime for...

Frankly, roadside Chinese carts serve better-tasting, fresher food than what we were given here — and that is not an exaggeration. I felt embarrassed in front of my clients.
If this is what Aka Saka thinks is acceptable to serve, they seriously need to reconsider their standards. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Horrible...
Read moreIt has taken a nose dive in everything since COVID. The MANAGER is SUPER RUDE and that attitude runs down to the last serving man. Even if one feels sorry for the staff and tip them by habit, the MANAGERS ATTITUDE STINKS of such ARROGANCE as though he's doing a favour to the DINING guests. Such an attitude is a killer for akasaka restaurant owner's IMHO. #change lest perish in your false arrogance. Quality of food is inconsistent. One time it's good, another time it's pukable. And if you complain about the quality of food, the same MANAGER HAS THE AUDACITY TO TELL THE GUEST IN FRONT OF HIS WAITERS, THAT "AKASAKA WILL NOT DELIVER TO THE GUEST, NEXT TIME"? SLOW CLAP INDEED - OWNERS AT AKASAKA RESTAURANT, DEFENCE COLONY. You should LEGALLY adopt this Manager in your family, to teach him basic hospitality...
