If you’re a foodie visiting Amritsar—or even just passing through—Amritsari Chur Chur Naan is an absolute must-try. This iconic dish is a delightful explosion of flavors, texture, and tradition. I recently visited a popular local eatery specializing in it, and it exceeded all expectations.
The naan arrives fresh from the tandoor, crisp on the outside and soft, buttery, and flaky inside. Stuffed generously with ingredients like paneer, potato, or mixed vegetables, the naan is then crushed or “chur chur” by hand, giving it a rustic and authentic appeal. Topped with a dollop of butter, it’s served with tangy chutneys, creamy curd, and spicy chole (chickpea curry) on the side.
The combination is heavenly—each bite brings together smokiness, richness, spice, and comfort. The portion sizes are generous, and the meal is hearty enough to keep you full for hours. It’s not just food, it’s an experience that speaks to the warmth and generosity of Punjabi cuisine.
The ambiance of the eatery was simple but lively, buzzing with both locals and tourists. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly and eager to recommend the best combinations.
Whether you’re a fan of traditional Indian food or someone eager to explore local delicacies, Amritsari Chur Chur Naan is not to be missed. It’s soulful, satisfying, and proudly represents the rich culinary heritage of Punjab.
Highly recommended for a flavorful and authentic North...
Read moreIf you are around CP and near New Delhi Railway station just visit Amritsari Chur Chur Naan serving since 1945. There are other outlets next to this with the same pricing or flavours.. but I guess I found this is quite popular amongst the localities and first time visitors. Their Thali menu with two mixes of Chur Chur Naan starts with 140 with a combination of dal makhani, chole, raita and salad. If you want to try Shahi Paneer you can pay a little more. They have Aloo, Gobhi,Onion,Paneer, mix Naan and Kulhad Lassi. They have got Chole Bhature, Rajma Chawal as well if you want to try a little more. Flavours are too good and one can sit and enjoy the food. Clean steel plates and Tissue papers available. For any extra sabzi u need to pay a very little amount of 30 rupees. Else for two naans the veggies served in the plate is sufficient. There is no parking slot on the road as this is a market area and on the road won't find any parking for cars. Keep safe for your personal belongings being a crowded area. Recommended to try once and taste the...

We ordered Paneer Naan & Mixed Naan. The restaurant has prepared a nice thali type menu to offer complete meal experience.😋
Paneer Naan Plate had 2 Paneer Naan, Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhani, Bundi Raita & Salad. Mixed Naan Plate had Aalo-Gobhi Naan, Chana Masala, Bundi Raita & Salad. We personally loved Paneer Naan over Mixed Naan.👌
The naans were awesome to taste & was loaded with butter. The plate of Naan is sufficient for a person & prices are also very affordable.👍
