I’ve been a loyal customer of Bakebook Bakery for several years and have always appreciated the quality of the products. However, I had a disappointing experience recently that I feel compelled to share. I purchased a Tiramisu yesterday, something I’ve enjoyed many times before but this time, the dipped biscuits inside were unusually hard and had an unpleasant taste. As this has never happened before, I called the bakery simply to share my feedback, not to ask for a refund or compensation.
To my surprise, I was met with an extremely unprofessional and discourteous response from a staff member named Ankit Pandey. Rather than listening to the concern, he raised his voice and accused me of calling too late, saying I should have called the moment I was eating it, not the next day. I tried to explain that I had purchased the dessert around 8 PM and consumed it close to midnight which was clearly not an appropriate time to call. Still, his tone remained aggressive and dismissive.
This type of interaction is deeply concerning, especially coming from someone representing such a reputable bakery. Feedback, especially from long-standing customers, should be met with professionalism and courtesy not hostility. I hope this matter is taken seriously, as no customer should be made to feel attacked for simply sharing...
Read moreI used to be a big fan of Bakebook, especially when they used to offer food directly to your car just by calling. It was a great, convenient service that made the whole experience feel unique and personal. However, it seems like things have changed ever since they became more popular.
Lately, the service has been quite disappointing. The restaurant no longer seems to prioritize customer calls. I’ve had multiple instances where my calls went unanswered, and when I finally managed to speak to a representative, the response was far from polite. Instead of addressing the issue, the staff member simply brushed it off with a rude remark, saying something along the lines of, “We’re not sitting idle here, and if you’re in a hurry, go somewhere else.”
It’s clear that with fame and growth, Bakebook has lost the customer-focused approach that initially set it apart. This level of disregard for customers’ concerns is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I understand that businesses grow, but this doesn’t justify treating loyal customers poorly.
I hope the management takes note and works on improving their customer service because, frankly, it’s hard to keep supporting a place that seems to care more about its popularity than...
Read moreI am rating this place 5 for its cute interiors of solid wood , white walls and fairy lights at night giving it a very romantic feel. The service was exceptionally warm and caring , they went out of their way to ensure our comfort and to try to create something to our liking.
Their waffles are famous and the place had a heavenly aroma of coffee and Belgian chocolate.
We had hot Mocha and Cold coffee with ice cream which was not only very pocket friendly but perfect too , with low fat milk and chocolate and the right amount of sweetness .
I wanted something salty and we were treated by the staff to some nice veg sandwiches that were not on the menu but soon to be added to the menu.
This place will be a hit soon if they continue with this kind of hospitality , prices...
