Campus: Toshali Sands resort is builtbon quite a large area. It has plush greenery. Lots of place to walk around. Many lawns adorn the campus. Its very well maintained as well. There is a Children's park with swings, slides,et all which would keep your kids busy & happy. Children would have a lot of place to run around s well. It has a swimming pool as well with the deep end at 6.5 ft. There is a bar made in the shape of a cottage too. They also grow organic vegetables & fruits within the huge campus. Facilities: A restaurant cum coffee shop, a children's park, body massage centre, recreational facilities like Table tennis and carrom board, pool table, rooms for office meetings and personal occasions. They also let out the campus as a destination for weddings. There are both regular rooms & cottages which generally range from 4k to 6k per night on double-occupancy. Websites would offer you lower prices. They also have a body massage centre. However its very basic and have semi-skilled masseuse. Don't expect a spa as you would find them in metro cities, though they dvertise it as spa. What they claim as their exclusive beach is basically one that is about 3kms from the hotel. However, the resort provides transport to & from the beach. They also offer bus service to take you to Puri Jagannath Mandir at fixed times during the day. Quality of food is very average. Service is very slow. Cottage rooms are decent but nothing that would make you gung-ho about them. Cottage rooms are not big but enough for single travellers or couples. Would be extremely difficult to accomodate a child along with both parents. There's only 1 local roadside shop selling snack items, cigarettes and...
Read moreWant to try street food after long time. Visited this outlet of Haldirams which is situated at karam pura.. thought I will enjoy the delicacies but foo this time was average. I have ordered masala dosa,Raj kachori, pav bhaji, choley kulche n fried rice n Manchurian. I think dosa was average,Raj kachori is bit lower quality as the curd quality was not satisfactory, it was very thin, pav bhaji was ok but it was quite oily, in choley kulche the kulche was dry, the Vegeta on the top was roughly cut n not properly chopped, the portion size of rice Manchurian is very small.. as they are charging around 200+ rupees for one plate of rice Manchurian. The portion is so small that one person of any age can never be satisfied with it. It is hardly 200 GM's of rice that is served. This time I am not satisfied with the products and food of Haldirams karampura. One more thing as i have ordered various products i wanted an help from any one person from their team to take the orders with me on my table. The counter boy has refused that we cannot send it on your table.. you have to take it on your own. The restaurant is quite big n they have enough staff n the time at which I have visited the restaurant it was not even a rush time. I wish they'll work on all the all...
Read moreGreat place, no doubt. Good tasty food. Nice ambience good hygienic place. But a few points to make it more better.
(1) The price of thali is whooping Rs 400+ (too much on the higher side). But the quantity of daal, raita and paneer dish is very less. One cannot eat two naan and rice with that less quantity. Please increase the quantity. You can take the example of Bikanerwala at Rajouri Garden.
(2) The sweet dish is always the same i.e. Gulab Jamun. It is never changed.
(3) It is surprising that if in thali we do not want one subzi like mix veg and request for replacement with some other like one more daal, you do not accept the same
(4) Even if we order for two people, only one tissue paper is given in the serving tray. The tissue paper must be allowed to be used freely and can be kept at the table. Similar is the case with sauce sachet. For 4 pieces of grilled sandwitch only 2 sauce sachet are given. The sauce bottles can be placed on the table.
It is really derogatory to ask for few sachets or tissue papers.
(5) Please use display token number, so that every one gets their order in queue and do not need to enquire again and again.
I hope with these few suggestions you can make this place even...
