I had a really disappointing experience at KASSO yesterday. Before visiting, I called on the number listed on Google and was assured there would be no issues with entry. They informed me that while tables were sold out, I could still enjoy food and drinks at the standing bar, and that they would try to arrange a table if possible. At no point was I told about any cover charge.
However, the moment I arrived at the gate, I was suddenly asked to pay a ₹3000 cover charge. When I called the same number again, they casually said the cover was “obvious.” If it was so obvious, why wasn’t it mentioned upfront? This kind of lack of transparency is unacceptable.
To add to the disappointment, when I wanted to order beer, I found that out of their entire menu only two options were available — Hoegaarden and Corona. Naturally, I preferred Hoegaarden, but to my shock the waiter told me that Hoegaarden is “only for the people with tables, for party people,” and that I would have to go with Corona. This is discriminatory and absolutely unprofessional.
But the issues didn’t end there. As far as I know, service charge in India is optional and can be waived off based on customer experience. When I requested this, the staff straightaway refused, saying the service charge goes to the waiter and “cannot be removed.” On confronting the same lady at the exit, instead of understanding, she started justifying and glorifying the charge even more.
Overall, KASSO felt like a mix of good food and TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT , POOR COMMUNICATION, and MISLEADING PRACTICES. Customers deserve honesty and respect, not surprises at the gate or excuses about service charges.
I will not be recommending this place until they seriously improve their transparency and...
Read moreWe decided to visit this place on New Year’s Eve instead of Shangri-La, as my family friends live just across from DLF and heavy police checking. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a letdown. Here are my key points of feedback:
Despite confirming a table for 8 people with the restaurant, we were only offered outside seating for a max of 6 next to the loud DJ speakers Music was mediocre & outside DJ was absent several times before midnight, leaving soon after midnight Cocktails and mocktails were overly sweet, the food (both vegetarian & non-vegetarian) was below average & the service was slow. We requested smaller portions due to cold, but the staff didn’t listen No one informed us that drinks and starters would stop being served at midnight, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, especially since we arrived around 11 pm Chicken was undercooked and the fish had a strong, unpleasant smell with no taste Hookah hardly had any flavour and very slow service Dinner felt like wedding catering, simple butter chicken, dal makhani with rice, and poorly cooked naan, followed by lackluster service Paying 8k per couple for this New Year’s celebration was a complete waste. The food and service were the worst way to end the year Food we ordered outside of the package deal after midnight was also average at best The crowd was underwhelming and the music inside didn’t live up to expectations for the price tag
Overall, we were extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this place...
Read moreKasso being a new player in the game is at the very least shall be expected to be transparent and ethical in terms of what they are offering and the pricing and shall be expected to fulfil their commitments at any cost. However, Our experience with kasso and team was nothing short of disappointment. Manager at kasso offered us a specific price for a party of 20 pax for a Friday night (unlimited alcohol + unlimited food). This discussion happened in the very first week of their opening. However, once the price was set and agreed upon, the moment we went to pay advance, the manager’s tone took a complete flip and now they are asking us to pay 50% more amount than what was initially asked for and agreed upon. This is not something that shall be accepted by any rational customer and is a complete “UNETHICAL” practice at the cafe’s end. To our surprise, the manager even told us that we can forget what they committed to earlier and we gotta pay more if we want to party there. This is outrageous. No one should give or even think of giving their hard earned money to these unethical and...
