I was at starbucks south ex 2 at 1:30 pm today. I dealt with a staff member named Avantika who ruined my starbucks experience. This is the first time ever iv had a bad experience at Starbucks in any branch. I placed an order for a cold coffee and requested that it should not be too sweet. To that she asked me if i want it without sugar. To that i answered ‘i would like it to be made the typical way, and as per standard procedure how do you make it?’ She answered in a very irritable tone that its made with sugar. I then said ok make it with minimum sugar. Then she called her colleague and said in a clearly sarcastic and assertive tone ´one cold coffee with very very very less sugar’. She stressed on the words ‘very very very’. They then asked me to taste a sample cup of the coffee to which i refused as i was ticked off by then. I was offended from the start til i left the counter. Also during my stay there, although nothing to do with me, but the staff members were laughing loudly for quite a while, their voices were louder than that of all the customers. It was pretty crowded and despite that they arranged seats and delivered the order quickly. Enjoyed their Java Chip Frappuccino, Hazelnut Frappuccino and Mocha Frappuccino, and these three drinks top my recommendation chart. After this, visited Starbucks a couple of more times and everytime happy to be there. Keep up...

The lady barista set the tone of the experience right away with a beaming smile and asked me, not for my selection, but "Are you all right?" .... A small conversation ensued and I felt my stress fly away. There was more to come .... Starbucks expects one to collect their own order from the counter. I was pleasantly surprised to see the lady barista bearing a tray with my coffee and the same endearing cheeriness. Very touching, and deeply enjoyable.
Thank you Kiran (the cheery lady) for your presence and cheer. Needless to say, my meeting was successful and I left with a lovely smile on face.
PS: The coffee...
