Madras Cafe is a well-known spot for authentic South Indian cuisine, and I recently had the chance to try it out. While the dine-in experience was just average and the ambiance could use some improvement, the food more than made up for it. I ordered Mysore Dosa, Special Masala Dosa, and Idli, and I must say, the taste was outstanding! The idlis were generously sized, the sambar was decent, but the highlight for me was the white coconut chutney—absolutely irresistible! I'm not usually a big fan of South Indian food, but the combination of Mysore Dosa with coconut chutney won me over. This is hands down the best South Indian food in the area, and the pricing is reasonable too. For example, a plate of idli (2 pieces) cost me just ₹70. If you're a fan of South Indian flavors or want to try some, Madras Cafe is worth visiting!

If you are looking for best South Indian restaurnt in Vikaspuri, head to New Madras cafe. Located at Kg-1 market, next to Sabharwal photo studio. It's a oldest restaurant and most probably the first restaurant to open with South Indian option and made name for themselves, by serving lip smacking dishes. Free home delivery is available and they are opened from 0900 hrs to serve us. Cash and payment through paytm is accepted. Catch is they have two different mobile number registered with paytm, one mobile number belongs to elder brother and other number belongs to younger brother. Pls do check with them, each time before doing paytm on which number payment should be done.

So 2 days back i wanted to try south indian food from a different outlet. And then i came across this outlet which is quite famous in my locality vikas puri. I ordered masala dosa. Dosa was really very delicious. Sambhar tasted good too and i really loved the portion, quality and taste of food. Really impressed by the restaurant and the food they serve. Overall a great experience. So just give it a try ❤️

Wonderfull food experience, this restaurant has a name of new madras cafe but its actually quite old. And has been there for quite some long, eventhough they dont serve the red chutney and the sitting arrangement is a bit congested, the food quality is great, very nice and obidient waiters and like always you can get as much sambhar and white chutney you want. One of the best south indian restaurant in vikaspuri and a great place to hangout with your friends usually not crowded but still has plenty of visitor. I would recommend to try their masala dosa and vada as usual...
