Had CB's from here priced at Rs 120/- for a plate, cost is more as they use pure desi ghee for the preparations. These are made without onions & garlic; and are served with mirchi, amla, chutney but no onions. Bhaturas are plain, without Paneer. These are indeed excellent, a tad different than the typical Delhi Paharganj wale CB's that have paneer in bhaturas and onions served with Chole. I did miss the onions but loved the amla. There are two shops, the left one (corner shop), is the famous one, which anyway you can make out from the crowds in front of the shop. I was amazed and bowled over at the courteous and polite owner and the staff, the love they shower on their customer akin Atithi Devo Bhava. Something that all shop owners must learn. I reached the shop around 4pm so it was comparatively less crowded, but it is a task in itself to reach this shop in the super crowded market, my first visit to this market and shop. Its a very small shop and you need to eat by standing and keeping your plate of CB on a narrow table. I also got 2 plates of chole packed (Rs 60 per plate) and a packet of Chole Masala (Rs 120). The chole were relished by family for dinner. And home preparation of Chole using the masala also...
Read moreGreat food. Easily the best ..the taste lingers on .. These are two brothers who operate side by side n both r popular .n preferably go to the one on right. Their bhaturas are loaded with paneer n they don't stinge on it .. channas are flavorsome .. they provide nand ka masala at 100rs.. don't miss out on this. I went here for lunch, the bhature is pure desi ghee preparation without onion and garlic, still very light, very fresh, originally i guess it was one shop now spilt in to 2 , i went to the one which is in corner. the owner is very generous and i could see any one asking for water. Even the poeple who were for shopping were being asked to have it for free..nice gesture in todays world where cafe coffee day asks us to buy water the shop is a bit too small and seating is virtually non existent. So that's an issue if you want to relax and have your lunch.. overall a recommnded place for eating in...
Read moreIt used to be one shop , but family divided , the three branches first experimented by operating the shop on different days , they all pooled in all the purchase cost and expenses including the staff salary and took turns to nam the Galla , two days a week for each branch , however this arrangement did not last long , so the shop was divided into three small portions and the three branches ran there businesses separately , then I guess one of them got fed up of that arrangement so sold/ merged his portion with another one , the corner shop by the virtue of its locational advantage is more popular , but booth are run by the original family by people who jointly operated the original business. Also I guess the original name " Nand Di Hatti " is also gone now , with one adding Shree to there name and the other one also has a variation of the old name , hope that is useful...
