In June'19 we again purchased 5 bags of the once famous Kasturi and Kesari brands of rice only to find it had rice weevil (ghun) in them. On phone they promised exchange but when confronted face to face, the shopkeeper pointed us to Nov'18 manufacturing date in packing and said this is old stock (despite having sold this to us in June'19). I still hv to go.khari baoli as i am used to its taste n quality. I cant settle on other brands in terms of quality. I am allegic to pollution and spices specially chillies still go.once in 3-4 months with a mask which doesnt work there. Its bedmi poori aata , dosa mix , vada mix are smthing that u can rely 9n apaet from pulses and prices here r quite less as compared to retail, but u hv to spend am in ur conveyance.
