New German Bakery — Restaurant in Delhi

I usually don’t share feedback for anyone but this was a nightmare.

We booked 2kg Spiderman theme cake on 02nd Nov 2024 from New German Bakery for my son’s 4th birthday on 06th Nov 2024.

He even asked to share all details on his WhatsApp number and took Rs 500/- in advance from Rs 2100/- of total cost and confirmed that the cake will be ready by 5:30PM on 06th Nov 2024 to collect.

Due to some personal circumstances, we got late to collect the cake and reached his shop around 8:30PM. The nightmare started after entering his shop as they told us that they forgot to prepare the cake and asked us to wait for 30-45mins to collect the cake. As, we were in hurry to reach back home because of the obvious reasons, you won’t have this much time when you have such occasion. So, we asked them to deliver at our place which they agreed.

Worst part after collecting the cake as the theme cake we booked wasn’t even matching by 10% from the one we booked!!

The embarrassment in front of the guest which we felt, you guys can imagine as the cakes are always special for those small kids and parents too😢 but when you receive such cake, you are left with a big disappointment and felt like everything has been spoiled well.

I am one od very old customers. But recently what happened to German bakery in mahavir enclave I am shocked.I have ordered a cake for 1.5 kg as per 1st image for my daughter's birthday. The person in shop was agreed and charged rs 2000/- for the same we agreed and paid rs 500/- in advance. And at night when I saw the actual cake in 2nd image it is not the same. The shop charged me rs 2000/- for 1.5 kg cake stating that this decoration will be done by sugar that is why the charge is so high. When I asked for the clarification the person in the shop with beard started argument and yelling at me. He denied giving the cake. And denied to accept his fault. This is such a rubbish I ever faced. In our home we have all guests waiting including my daughter could not cut the cake only because of this person. I would like to speak to the owner as this person is not the owner. If the owner are reading this please give me the...

Usually I don't write reviews, but this time they just create chaos... I am a frequent customer...whenever we have an occasion in our family, we order cake from their bakery, but for the last few years they have been literally messing with every cake order. This time,I again trust them and I gave them a 3 KG CHOCOLATE CAKE ORDER for my very close family member's anniversary, BUT THEY SENDED a 3 kg pineapple cake and, worst of all, they came up with the worst excuse that" Mam I haven't seen your msg " that you need chocolate bread inside, and I clearly mentioned every thing...because ik they have gone mess up at the end moment which they did..... and special day got ruined because of their silly mistake they charged me 3300 rs for 3kg pineapple cake.... I request you all if you don't want to ruin your special day, don't order from...
