Qutab Golf Course — Restaurant in Delhi

I had the pleasure of playing at the Qutab Golf Course in Delhi.

The 18-hole, 72-par course is a challenging yet rewarding layout, with well-manicured greens and fairways. The course is beautifully landscaped, with plenty of trees, bunkers, and water hazards to keep you on your toes.

DDA Qutab Golf Course developed by the DDA within the old ruins of Kila Rai Pithora of the Rajput chieftain Prithviraj Chauhan, is the first public pay-and-play 18-hole parkland course in India. Green fee is INR 1000 ($14) on weekdays, twice that on weekends. It now boasts a party room, two conference rooms, the open air function venues, and two indoor function halls for 200+ guests besides the mandatory 19th, dining and cafeteria facilities. Besides numerous open and corporate championships it also hosts the annual Lt Governor's Cup. It has a 250 yd driving range with 15 bays, now being doubled to a two-level range. It’s an extremely nice and well maintained course with a spacious driving range with plenty of targets, however the staff are extremely rude and unprofessional, especially towards younger golfers. Today I showed up for my tee time wearing Nike golfing trousers but was banned from playing because apparently only trousers with belts are allowed which was not made clear on the website. Despite several requests the shift manager Mahindra refused to let me on the course and eventually I had to leave and go play the nine hole 3 par course at Siri fort.
