Read moreWe visited Sandoz, Mathura Road on the evening of 29th September 2024 to celebrate my son’s 6th birthday. Our group consisted of 11 people, including 3 senior citizens and 2 children, and our bill amounted to Rs. 8190, paid through Zomato Gold.
While the food was good and the staff was courteous and attentive, the experience was severely affected by the extremely loud music played by the live band. It was so loud that it was nearly impossible to hold a conversation, which was especially difficult for the senior citizens and children in our party. Despite our repeated polite requests to lower the volume, no action was taken.
We eventually spoke to the Outlet GM, Mr. Rajesh Khaneja, in hopes of resolving the issue. Unfortunately, his dismissive attitude left us quite shocked. He stated (mind you, he stated this and not being polite or empathetic at all) that the volume was standard for the restaurant and that other patrons were enjoying it.
Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years across multiple countries, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility or consideration shown, especially for the comfort of children and elderly guests. We have visited other outlets of this chain regularly, but this experience has made us reconsider returning.

I visited Sandoz Okhla with my wife at 11 PM, specifically to enjoy their famous Dahi ke Sholay and Dal Makhani, which are supposed to be their star dishes. • We placed our order, and after 5 minutes, the staff told us Dahi ke Sholay were unavailable. I requested them to arrange it since we had come especially for this dish. They agreed, but what they served was a compromised version, not the real dish. • Then, after 30 minutes, they informed us that Dal Makhani was also unavailable! This was unacceptable, as they should have mentioned it earlier. • By this time, it was 11:45 PM, and most restaurants were about to close, leaving us with no alternative. • Our entire evening was ruined, and we decided to leave the food and drink behind. I expected at least some courtesy or an apology, but instead, they charged ₹944 for the food we didn’t even eat!
This was a horrible experience, with poor service, lack of management, and zero customer respect. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and they seriously need to improve their service and attitude...
