Shiv Tikki Wala - Karkaduma, Akshardham area
Vegetarian-only! This place is really famous for its Chaap. Even just after lockdown ended, this place has always seen crowds of people enjoying chaap.
We've tried Golgappas, Aloo Tikki & all of the 6 types of chaap they offer - Malai, Masala, Pudina, Achari, Afghani & Stuffed. My personal favorites being the Malai chaap & Achari Chaap. They also offer Rumali Roti at Rs 15 per Roti.
It is a nice place to either eat on the spot or pack & take home. First you've to pay on counter & collect tokens, then give tokens at specific counters for your food.
If the place isn't too crowded, you can eat, but there is no sitting place. There are standing tables, approx 10-12 of them, so the crowd usually stays near them. People usually bring their cars nearby & park & eat in them.
Or you can get food packed. Personally, we like packed option, their packaging is good, they pack all stuff including onion & chutney, you can grab spoons/glasses/toothpick/forks & comfortably eat at your place of comfort.
There isn't much to do in the area, the food outlet is the only major shop in this corner. Recently, a Chinese outlet has opened, thus providing some variety.
Food is delicious &...

Shiv Tikki Wala stands out as one of the most popular joints in East Delhi, and for good reason. With an array of mouth-watering vegetarian dishes, this family-friendly spot offers incredible value for money. I've been a regular here for almost 17 years, and it remains a firm favorite.
The menu is extensive and caters to all tastes. The most popular dishes include their delectable burgers, flavorful pav bhaji, and the ever-popular spring rolls. However, the soya chaap is the true star of the show. No matter which variety you choose, you're in for a treat!
While the food and ambiance are exceptional, it's important to note that Shiv Tikki Wala is always bustling with crowds. This does make parking a bit of a hassle, but the delicious food more than makes up for it.
In summary, Shiv Tikki Wala is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious vegetarian fare in East Delhi. Highly...
