What kind of a fine dining restaurant doesn't provide even a finger bowl after a meal!? Not even a mouth freshner. Not even a simple thanks for visiting or after receiving a bill...
Visited this place after almost a decade and a half on 15th September, Sunday. I won't complain about food. We ordered a-la-carte. A waiter comes and keeps chutney and onion bowls. Another comes and keeps chutney and onion bowls. He comes back rushing, snatches the bowls and leaves. We laugh. Although it's funny but mistakes happen.
Here come 3 vegetables in three different sized and shaped bowls. Looks strange but no issues. Waiters forget to look at us after serving the meal. All are standing looking in different directions. We have to call out for water, salt, everything. Still no issues. Waiter starts picking up the dishes without even asking. Hurried to an extent that the dirty cutlery falls down and stays lying there forever. What was the hurry when almost half of the restaurant was empty!?
We ordered for more nans and rice. They came hot and in time. But when called for a bill, it was brought with a flat face, mechanically. We felt as if we have done something wrong looking at the face of this waiter. The man swiped the card, turned around and went away!! We still sitting there with dirty hands and dishes. Nobody even greets a departing customer and mouth freshners are kept at the door like 'dhabas'. Take them if you wish, of course with unwashed hands.
Not that these are big issues. But for a brand that claims itself to be world class, where is the warmth? Where is the customer connect? Staff needs to get their basics in order. We visit so many fine dining restaurants almost every weekend. Is there a dearth of restaurants in NCR anyway? But these small things really go a long way. Actually, these small things are what make an experience stand apart from the others. So why would anyone go to such a cold place again? A meal is a symbol of warmth and care. That touch is completely missing in this outlet. Staff is neither warm nor caring and to an extent rude. Either they all are bored, indifferent or overworked I can't say but this is what we felt. No sense of hospitality. What is the purpose of charging a 10 percent towards staff contribution if they don't have basic etiquette? A 'sarkaari' kind...
Β Β Β Read moreWe hosted a lunch for around 30 people at Yellow Chilli in Pacific Mall. We had met Mr. Rajinder earlier and he was very co-operative and went through all the details with us - what dishes would be on offer - soup/curries/sweet dishes/cold drinks etc, an earmarked area within the restaurant etc. He understood our requirements and provided us with meal options that suited us.
On the day of the lunch, all the food items were as we had discussed previously. The area where we were seated was also a bit secluded, so people within our relatively large group were free to move around, talk and mingle with each other without bothering the other diners in the restaurant. This was one of our main requirements. The food itself was very tasty, and I would give a full 5 stars for the food quality.
The one criticism I would like to point out here is that the servers had joined all adjacent tables and the items that were served were to be shared between these two tables. However, at no point were the people informed that this was the case. As a result, some food items which were put on one of such tables never really reached people seated on the other table. The serving out of food to individuals by the servers also started quite late. It should have begun as soon as the dishes containing the food were placed on the tables.
Other than that, it was a very enjoyable lunch event and the venue and the food quality was well appreciated by all, and I would again like to thank Mr.Rajinder who helped us in hosting this at The Yellow Chilli. I have been to The Yellow Chilli at Pacific Mall a number of times, and the food quality has been well worth 5 stars every single time. This kind of consistency is wonderful to see. We will definitely...
Β Β Β Read moreSo i went the yellow chilli last night with my family for a dinner. First the AC was not working properly it was too hot inside the restro. After that we ordered our drink which was diluted we can see that. It is better to get a bottle if you want drinks because they will give your drinks as 30-60ml whatever you ordered but diluted. Services was very poor we need to call the waiter again and again. We ordered food after the starter, we always visit the yellow chilli in noida which is very good but in pacific mall we did not get satisfied services. We ordered kebab wali sabji which is our fav it was stale, when we ate a bite we get this burned flavour and stale taste. We called the waiter and told him about it they replaced it because it was that bad. They just microwaved the stale sabji and served us. When it got replaced it was fresh but i must tell you the taste was not good as compared to other outlets we visited in other places like noida, ludhiana etc. Experience was very bad and we decided never come to this side for dinner. If we want to go to yellow chilli we would prefer in noida. Last thing, they had water bottle in each and every table which we taught it is a mineral water as it is from Aqua brand. When we open it, the waster which was inside the bottle was a tap water. They are fooling around with these and charge you for these bottles. Pathetic experience, washroom was too dirty too use. They are just runing the brand name. I would have give...
