Worst Experience Ever – Rude Owner

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Twopots Kitchen, and I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this place unless you want to be disrespected. I had booked a table for two via Swiggy Dineout, which clearly mentioned a 30% discount + free dessert—a standard offer on such platforms. Everything seemed fine until I finished my meal (I ordered the TPK combo) and asked for the dessert. The server outright denied it and directed me to the owner. Now, here's where things got ugly. The owner, instead of honoring the offer, claimed ignorance, saying Swiggy applies such offers on its own and that he was planning to leave Swiggy. His tone and attitude were dismissive from the start—as if it was my fault for expecting what was promised. Regardless of his business disputes with Swiggy, it was his responsibility to honor an offer that customers had booked under. I paid and left, disappointed but still trying to be reasonable. However, things escalated when I needed the bill. As per state laws, every restaurant is obliged to provide a bill, but I didn’t take it since we don’t always collect receipts. I contacted Swiggy about the issue within 40 minutes, and they asked for the restaurant’s invoice. Since I didn’t have it, I politely called the owner requesting a copy. Here’s where his true colors came out: First, he lied and said he would give the bill but needed to be at the cafe to regenerate it.

Then, he changed his story and said he had already given the bill, but since I left it there, he threw it in the dustbin, which was wet—such a lame excuse to avoid providing a copy.

When I insisted on getting the bill (which is legally required), he outright denied giving me another copy at any cost.

When I asked when he would be at the cafe to regenerate it, he arrogantly refused to answer, saying, "I am not obliged to tell you anything. Go and complain wherever you want. You are just a customer."

I then asked Swiggy to contact him. Not surprisingly, he ignored their calls.

A couple of hours later, I tried again—still polite—but this time, he started cursing at me! Yes, the owner of this restaurant was verbally abusive, refused to provide the bill, and went back on his word.

To top it all off, he even had the audacity to justify his unprofessionalism and lack of ethics by saying he believes in Newton’s Third Law—as if me asking for the bill warranted him treating a customer with disrespect and hostility. What kind of logic is this?

I recently visited a restaurant owned by Kshitij and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The quality of food and drinks served was top-notch and I was impressed with the variety of options available. From appetizers to desserts, they had it all!

What stood out for me was the owner himself - Kshitij was well spoken and polite, making us feel welcomed and valued as customers. The restaurant also had both inside and outside seating areas, which added to the overall ambiance.
