Modern Cafe — Restaurant in Dombivali

We opted for AC Dining , the waiters and his senior are in a rush to throw the customers even before we finish our food. It was not only our table but also others, where in waiters or the service guy perso are placing the billl and gpay machine, chasing to make the payment , while we are eating. I was still my fries, waiter was constantly waiti g besides us to clear the plates. I just grabbed remaining 5 fries in my hand, so that he coudl just carry the plates. Mind you we visited during working weekday at around 4.30 pm where in there are few customers . I mean I am paying extra cost for opting for AC dining , but they were acting as we are here for free...We had order 6 items , and yet such unwelcoming behaviour is so NOT DONE. We visit Restaurants to have good time with family and enjoy the food . BuT Modern Cafe West AC service Team hass been a total disappointment. Never ever expected such change in Service from Modern Cafe Team. Modern Cafe East Team are way more humble and polite, but the west staff from the AC staff are so rude !

Modern Cafe is known for its south Indian snacks and has a good vibe especially for families but I must say the food here wasn't good at all...We asked for suggestions from the manager and he told us that Paneer Lahori was excellent so we ordered that with some naam n dal fry, only to know it was sheer disappointment!! The so called dal fry was only a plain dal with overload of chopped garlic which tasted pathetic and the Panneer Lahori was nothing but a fried pieces of paneer in literally a basic onion tomato gravy nothing special at all... We did order for springrolls which were horrible in texture and taste I'd say there are other hotels which offer much better vegetarian food than Modern Cafe... I wouldn't ever go there again atleast for food... Extremely dissatisfied especially on...

Disaster in a box – Modern Cafe, you owe me a new tongue!

If you're looking to punish your taste buds or challenge your digestive system, congratulations – Mushroom Masala and Dal Tadka from Modern Cafe is your golden ticket.

The Mushroom Masala tasted like someone boiled mushrooms in regret and added a splash of despair. Zero flavor, extra oil, and somehow still dry? Impressive.

Dal Tadka? More like Dal Trauma. It smelled like it had commitment issues – neither homely nor restaurant-style. Tasted like someone waved garlic near it and changed their mind.

The only modern thing about Modern Cafe is how quickly your appetite dies after the first bite. If you're thinking of ordering from here, don't. Microwave leftovers taste like gourmet cuisine...
