I visited Barbeque Nation, Vegas mall, Dwarka, this outlet is on the 5th floor, and is easily accessible via escalators or lifts. I had booked a table for nine via Zoamato app. My family and I went here to celebrate a milestone in our lives, and we chose this particular branch as this is quite spacious, easily accessible and has buffet options.
We ordered 9 veg buffets, the starters were good, we had options like paneer tikka, roasted broccoli, mushroom tikkas, cajun potatoes, pineapple tikka, crispy corn, etc. Some of the starters like paneer tikka, and other tikkas were served hot, they were put on a small tandoor/grill (I guess that is what it is called) which was situated on our table, there were 2 of these tandoors evenly spaced from each other so that people on both sides of the tables could serve themselves with ease, so this was great. Starters like crispy corn and cajun potatoes were brought out by the servers after every couple of minutes or whenever we requested them to, so those starters were hot as well. The main course consisted of multiple North Indian gravies like dal makhni, kadhi pakoda, paneer gravy, malai kofta, etc. As for the breads, we could order whichever breads we wanted in the quantity we desired (we ordered butter naan, tandoori roti, simple naan) and all the breads were quite good. The gravies were good in taste, nothing groundbreaking about them in terms of taste, they were good but could have been better. My favorite was the paneer gravy. Along with these items, they also had veg dum biryani (this was very okayish), raita, multiple types of salads, papads, etc. For dessert, they had a lot of different options, like a lot. They had ice creams, multiple differently flavoured kulfis, gulab jamun, pastries, fruit flavoured rabri cups or something, halwa, etc. But out of all these items, only a couple of them were good in taste, the ice cream and kulfis were nice, the indian sweets were okay in taste, but the pastries and all the cake coded desserts were bland and a bit salty in taste, none of us liked them. So, if you are opting for the buffet solely to have try out multiple different desserts, I suggest you skip the buffet, but if you want to try a huge variety of starters and main course, then the buffet is a good option. Overall, the food was good, we were all satisfied.
The staff provided us with really good service, they were polite and attentive. The vibes of this place were good as well, the place was filled with friends and families, enjoying their meals with one another. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and has good decor, the ambience is nice. Overall, a really nice place you can visit with friends and family to just have a simple lunch or dinner, or to even celebrate big events.
The parking available here is the mall's parking which is underground and has multiple levels, it is spacious,...
Read moreVisited Barbecue Nation yesterday, and the experience was quite disappointing. While the staff was friendly and attentive, the food quality was a major letdown. The dishes were prepared with subpar ingredients, which significantly impacted the taste and overall experience. The low-grade oil used for cooking was particularly noticeable. Given the emphasis on quality ingredients in any dining experience, it's surprising that Barbecue Nation fell short in this aspect.
To make matters worse, the ambiance was chaotic, which added to the overall discomfort. The chaos detracted from what could have been a pleasant dining experience. For someone who's been to fine dining restaurants, the quality of food at Barbecue Nation was unacceptable. The dishes lacked consistency, and it was clear that the problem wasn't with the chef's skills, but with the poor quality of ingredients used. Even the best chef can't create a great dish with subpar ingredients.
That being said, there were a few highlights. The Palak Patta Chat was very good, and the Angoori Gulab Jamun was a standout dessert. The Kadi Pakoda and Vegetarian Biryani were also well-received. However, these positives were overshadowed by the numerous disappointments.
The Panipuri, in particular, was a disaster. Even a roadside vendor in connaught place sells 1000 times better panipuri then what they had offered. The mango kulfi was terrible, and another sweet barfi had an excessive amount of sugar, making it unbalanced.
Adding to the disappointment was the beverage offer. At ₹1,200 per person for a Sunday vegetarian meal, we expected a bit more. Instead of complimentary drinks, they offered cold drinks, which are known to be unhealthy. Even a simple fresh lime drink, which would cost around ₹40-50, would have been a welcome gesture. The lack of a complimentary drink or even a basic refreshment like fresh lime was a letdown, especially considering the price point.
What's even more disheartening is that this isn't a new issue. Two years ago, I visited the Barbecue Nation outlet in Tirupati and had a similarly disappointing experience. At that time, we decided not to visit again, but gave them another chance hoping they might have upgraded. Unfortunately, it seems they've taken a step back instead. Given the decline in quality over the years, I'm left with no choice but to bid adieu to Barbecue Nation. Until they take serious steps to revamp their sourcing, cooking practices, and service management, I wouldn't...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I've ever had at a barbecue restaurant. It was such a nightmare that I will never consider going to BBQ Nation at Vegas Mall again. The food was incredibly bland and tasteless. Since it was my first visit to this specific outlet, I expected some new additions to the menu, but everything was the same. The menu curation deserves zero ratings. I simply wanted tasty food for the 3,000 rupees I paid, but the staff seemed more interested in ratings than in satisfying my appetite.
The ambiance was chaotic, with so much noise that I couldn't enjoy my meal. The live singing was unpleasant; the singer was fine, but the song choices were more suitable for a funeral. It was also too loud. I informed the staff two or three times, but no action was taken. I felt humiliated as the staff smiled at my complaints. The service was mediocre at best. The only positive aspect was the excellent beverages.
In the dessert section, the kulfi counter was unattended several times. I waited at the counter for 10 minutes, but no staff appeared. I felt like I was paying 3,000 rupees for nothing.
Shockingly, BBQ Nation now charges a service fee. This chain was known for not charging a service fee, which was one of their USPs.
I felt like I had come to an unrated restaurant; there was no proper procedure for anything. The staff didn’t introduce themselves, nor did they greet us with a good evening or any pleasantries. They just asked if we wanted veg or non-veg without bothering to inquire about our specific preferences. The service staff clearly lacked training.
Although there was some Lucknow festival, it wasn't noticeable at all. The staff completely failed to inform us about the festival, and we had to ask what else was available. The festival branding was so poor that the danglers were too small to read. Additionally, there was no one at the exit to assist us with after-mints.
Although I received a call from the BM, it felt like a formality rather than a genuine concern. I was not satisfied with the conversation. Overall, BBQ Nation has...
