I visited this restaurant on 15th Aug 2022 with my family and below are my observations. Ambience - It is dark and gloomy and the seating arrangement is such that it seems they saved a lot on the space to get maximum packs.
Food- Straight feedback is at this price the taste and portion size really needs to improve. I ordered Paneer and mutton toofani but not sure what it was in taste. Paneer was bland and mutton was raw/uncooked. Just left everything we ordered at the table. Moreover, the crockery and cutlery used is even worst than that of a roadside dhaba. They used metal plates for the main course dishes which were rotating while eating. Their portion of the dish you order comes in the round steel tiffin box similar to what my father used to carry to his office.
Service - They don't offer a menu card, so you need to scan the bar code from your phone and the menu is visible digitally however, do they realise how an old man will make choices from phone or sometimes the network took time to open the menu. This is exactly what happened with us, the menu did not open immediate due to whatever reasons and we were waiting for someone to come to the table unless we called them to give us a menu card which they did not had initially but somehow found it somewhere. The service staff was another star on the face of this restaurant, i ordered butter rotis and the gentleman brought normal rotis and when I asked him for clarification he replied sir the rates are same so if you want i can get butter applied on them now. "Is it really about prices when you go to these pricy restaurants" i don't think so!
The bill came in a metal box with no mouth freshner, they did not offer anything clean hands and we had to wipe it with tissues before leaving.
Well overall there are better restaurants available at the price and quality of the food they are offering with much better service and...
Read moreDear Sir/Ma'am,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing incident that occurred during my recent visit to your Dwarka Social.
For the past six months, my friends and I have enjoyed frequenting social outlets across Delhi NCR, but unfortunately, our positive experiences came to an abrupt end due to the unacceptable behavior we encountered from your staff.
On a weekend, I obtained approval for three stag entries at 9 pm from the restaurant manager, and this was promptly granted within five minutes. However, upon arriving at the outlet and encountering Shashi Bhusan at the podium, we were shocked to hear him say, "dance floor pe dikh mat jaana warna bhaga dunga or entry ban kar dunga."
This statement led to a heated argument, during which I politely questioned the appropriateness of his words. Regrettably, the situation escalated further as Shashi Bhusan began to argue and use abusive language. What's concerning is that this incident unfolded in front of the restaurant manager, who, unfortunately, lacked the courage to pacify Shashi Bhusan.
It's disheartening to note that, despite being part of a reputed restaurant chain, such incidents occur. It appears there may be a lapse in background checks, allowing employees like Shashi Bhusan to tarnish the restaurant's reputation rather than prioritize good customer service.
I kindly request your immediate intervention in this matter to investigate the incident thoroughly and take appropriate action against Shashi Bhusan. I believe addressing this issue promptly will not only rectify the damage caused but also contribute to maintaining the high standards expected from your esteemed restaurant chain.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope to hear from you soon to discuss the...
Read moreI wonder what has happened to restaurants in Delhi or if it is specific to Social chain of restaurants. On a Monday evening I decided to have keema pao and milk shake at Dwarka Social after watching a movie.
Mr Rakesh Sharma stopped me from entering a nearly empty restaurant, asking me for my name and number. I didn’t understand why my mobile number is needed to eat a meal at Social, but Mr Sharma was adamant entry wouldn’t be allowed without a mobile number. Very odd.
I gave my number unwillingly and was seated at a high table and pointed to a qr code to order. An army of servers spread across the place and on scanning the QR code I was shown the attached page. Where I HAVE TO MANDATORILY select the option to give away my privacy to place an order of keema bao and peanut butter shake.
Annoyed, I request the bartender if it is possible to order without whatsapp or online. They said yes, and sent a waiter my way. The first thing this waiter says is “Sir online hi order kar lijiye na”. Wonderful. I am ready to leave when Social finally agrees to take my order manually, thinking I must be from the stone ages.
10 minutes later keema bao arrives but shake is nowhere to be seen. I ask a couple of times and another 5 minutes later I am given a Ferrero Rocher shake. After clearly asking for a peanut butter shake. Took them another 5 minutes to get it out.
It feels like in a bid to invade customer privacy, Social has jettisoned all appearances of serving customers, and waiters have forgotten how to take or remember orders. This reeks of laziness or doubtful motives, or both at once.
I had a pretty sour experience and will not be visiting again. If you want to eat a meal and not be looking at your phone all the time to enter, order or pay, then Social may not be the place...
