I recently visited Roast and Toast Cafe, located near Sargasan Circle in Gandhinagar. The café offers a wide range of items, including coffee, bakery, Chinese, Italian, pizza, desserts, and beverages.
Here’s what we ordered:
Pomegranate and Pineapple Cold-Pressed Juice: Refreshing and well-balanced, priced at ₹285. Chili Garlic Noodles: Spicy and flavorful, perfect for those who enjoy a kick, costing ₹471. Crispy Paneer Focaccia Sandwich: My favorite! Delightful paneer, fresh veggies, and flavorful focaccia, priced at ₹310. Mexican Pizza: Topped with pickles, jalapenos, corn, bell peppers, and sriracha, and priced at ₹553.
All the dishes were delicious and full of flavor. Our total came to around ₹1700-1800, but with Zomato Gold, we got a ₹600 discount due to the ongoing carnival promotion.
Pros: Great food, especially the sandwich. Cooperative staff who helped us choose the best dishes. Cozy ambiance, though it’s darker, which some may not prefer.
Cons: Service was a bit slow. The bathroom had some issues: malfunctioning taps and a continuously running flush that need attention.
Overall, I’d recommend this place for its delicious food and warm atmosphere. Give the sandwich a try!

Overall - 8 on 10 a decent cafe in the city.
Taste - Loved one thing they bake their own bread, so ordered a cheese onion sandwich that was great in taste. Other than that the Arabiata pasta and pizza were ordered. Pizza and pasta were good. Coffee was distinct. We ordered coffees and a frappe. Java Choco frappe was very good and coffee I personally loved the coffees, they were strong. If you love strong coffee with multiple variations give them a try. Yes, cookies are good as well. Pure veg. No egg. Food options.
Ambience - with high roofs and Modern seating they give a mix but cool vibe. A separate section of breads to display variety of breads was superb. Overall a good ambience.
Pricing - High. Yes alongwith getting high on their coffee this cafe is high on price. A bit pricey. Not higher than their roofs though😉(jokes apart). A bit pricey for middle class families but okay not out of the sky.
If you want a cool n calm vibe away from city hustle. Can try it. I would recommend them for their coffees n maybe frappes. You can ask them to adjust the sweetness but would love it if strong coffee is your thing. Good experience.
P S: Enjoy our jamming session...
Read moreThe review of Roast and Toast took a downturn after the introduction of their new menu. We ordered three items, and here’s how the experience unfolded:
We ordered the grilled paneer and veggie salad, but to my surprise, only the paneer was actually grilled. The salad consisted of 60% large pieces of carrots that weren’t even soft-boiled, making it tough to eat and hard to swallow.
Next, we tried the Farm Pizza. A Farm Pizza is supposed to be loaded with veggies, yet to my surprise, it had no bell peppers at all. The result was incredibly disappointing.
To wrap up, I wanted to order waffles. I specifically asked the waiter if the mixed berries waffle contained frozen berries or just sauce. He assured me that it had frozen berries and no sauce. I confirmed this with him three times before ordering. However, when the waffle arrived, it came with blueberry sauce. When I questioned the waiter about the missing mixed berries, he had no answer. It was clear that he had lied just to make a sale.
Overall, the experience at the café has declined since the menu change. I urge the staff to be honest with their customers, as lying to get an order is both unethical and damaging to the...
