The Sea Food Lounge is a convenient restaurant located directly on the main road in Gandhinagar, close to Ahmedabad. It’s easy to reach, with plenty of parking space available, which is a big plus.

The ambiance is fine — simple with good interior — but you do get a strong smell of seafood as soon as you enter. When we visited, there were only two other customers dining, and there’s no background music, which meant we could hear quite a bit of chaos from the kitchen. This somewhat affected the dining experience.

We ordered their Combo meal for ₹1099. The food was a mix — some dishes were really good while others were just average. I especially liked their Tandoori Fish and Tawa Fried Prawns. The Dal Gosht was also quite nice. We tried their Crab Sukka as well — if you know how to eat crab, you’ll appreciate it.

The portion sizes are generous — honestly, a meal for two might be more than enough — and I even suggested to the owner to consider reducing the portion sizes to avoid food waste. The restaurant is a small team, with only a single server and a small number of people in the kitchen, which means there’s a bit of a wait for food, especially during busy hours.

The prices are a little on the higher side, especially when you compare them to chain restaurants like Barbeque Nation, but there aren’t many places in Ahmedabad where you can enjoy crab, which makes this restaurant a somewhat unique option.

I genuinely don't know how this place has such high ratings, I went here yesterday and I am not exaggerating when I say it was my worst 'unlimited' food experience and that's saying much because the bar was already at the bottom with bbq nation. It may seem like I am just hating but for the price of 1100 (without gst) per person to not have even avg food is crazy. None of the fish or chicken tender and juicy which is like the main issue, how do these places around gandhinagar are getting away with chewy hard and stale meat I don't get it. When the roti was stale and cold like how does that happen then? 😭 As for the service well even tho there were like only 2-5 other customers around when we went there, they took a whole 2+ hours to serve everything and imo the time could've been warranted if the food wasn't so downright terrible. At one point the owner even had an outburst of profanity towards his staff over some other customers. Also, one of the waiters was sliding around with the food lol I thought it was supposed to be a classy and boujee restaurant 😭, the atmosphere doesn't fit either, it doesn't matter if it's a seafood place I don't want the ambience to smell almost like a fish market.
