Read moreToday I visited Udipi after some 18-20 years. We used to go when i was a kid and Udipi was one of the few resturants in Ghaziabad and that too a South Indian restaurant. We as a family "used" to love the place and food, just imagine the fresh white hot steaming idlis and crispy vadas and dosas. But when we visited today and ordered the core south Indian food - uttapam, idli, vada combo, normal masala dosa and south Indian thali. The vadas was absolutely cold and not at all crispy, idlis where as cold as ac temp in restaurant. The aloo masala in dosa was totally mess. The green chutney was 80% water and 20% dhaniya.
Besides food, the chairs were so uncomfortable and a small table for 4 of us and things and pappads were falling off the table. The restaurant was full of people but it doesn't have the same taste as of 20 years ago. We all were super excited to go to Udipi after 20 years but came back sad and unsatisfied. I wish they improve the quality. But fornow we goona give Udipi a miss for...
Read moreWell, to be honest This restaurant became the de-facto choice for me and my family whenever we wanted to experience south-indian food and specially DOSA. So just to experience that I went and to my surprise the rates have increased manifold and the potato inside has decreased like a 70 rupee Chila sold on roads. The best part which is coconut chutney became the worst part and looked like a white paste filled with water and no other ingredient. The saddest part of this experience was that I got too much ill after eating, though I didn't get to such situations since months. Therefore suggest all South Indian food lovers to stay away from here, if you want to be healthy.
Moreover the service people are waiting to woo the customers off.. to just invite new customers for empty table.
I just completed the whole restaurant experience in 15-20 mins. And why was that ? Because the Dosa they served was already prepared and...
