I recently had the pleasure of dining at Angry Sardar Punjabi Restaurant in Goa, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. As a fan of Punjabi cuisine, I was excited to try out this popular restaurant, and I was not disappointed.
From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The decor was vibrant and colorful, with traditional Punjabi motifs and lively music adding to the energetic ambiance.
But what really stole the show was the food. Oh, the food! I ordered the famous Angry Sardar's signature dish, the "Sarson Ka Saag with Makki Ki Roti", and it was love at first bite. The saag was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice, and the makki ki roti was perfectly cooked and fluffy.
The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who were happy to recommend dishes and answer any questions I had.
Overall, I would highly recommend Angry Sardar Punjabi Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Punjabi cuisine in Goa.

Read moreThis restaurant is in Panjim main street in Goa. The set up and decor is good. Ambience is nice, but the only reason all the tables are empty and there was not a single customer for 1 hour is because the food and liquor prices are really hiked up sending it over the ceiling. I went there for the first time as it was raining heavily and I wanted to warm myself up with a shot of brandy. I ordered a 30ml Hennessy brandy on the rocks and a diet coke. To enjoy with the brandy I got some tinned Potato wafers and a green chutney to go with it that did not taste like chutney nor smell like it. Salty, no tang and no taste. I refrained from ordering any more food as this alone put me off my appetite...................guess what the bill looked like. A wooping Rs959/-.......In addition, I also tipped the waiter as I felt he looked underpaid but doing a good job in pleasing his customers as best as he could. As the name of the resturant implies "ANGRY SARDAR"....That's what I feel most customers will be too....."ANGRY CUSTOMERS" after eating and paying for something not worth...
Read moreWe tried the place for lunch and we loved the interiors, the food and service. We Had the angry sardar chicken to start with, a mutton biryani and Boondi raita for the mains and gulab jamuns and jelebis for dessert. We enjoyed everything! The meats were juicy, succulent and not majorly oily. Suraj Gupta, our server, is really nice. He had good knowledge of the menu. We will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.
Things we would’ve liked to see: The restaurant needs to have a few printed menus for when technology fails. The digital menu didn’t have any description of each item. Play some music on low volume to set the ambience. Music was only played when we entered and then a bit in between. Not sure if there was an issue...
