Worst experience yet in Panjim. We went to a lot of pure veg restaurants in Panjim and the waiters were always very welcoming. We were at Vihar, Legacy of Bombay, Kailash Parbat, Sanyog and Navaratna. We can recommend those definetly. I should mention we are white tourists from abroad, maybe this influenced our experience. We went in there and the waiters didnt even say hello. After going upstairs we just got one menu (for 2 people) , also there was no water served. Everybody else got water and could order before us, even though they arrived later than we did. While ordering, the waiter didnt talk to my girlfriend and left after i said what i wanted to eat, this never happened to us before. Also it felt like they made fun of us, always whispering and laughing to each other while looking at us! When leaving the also didnt say goodbye even though we did. The food was also sub par, we had way better dal tadka before (clearly missed salt completely) and the roti was burned and hard. Cant say anything about hygenics, but another review mentioned a cockroach in their food. Cant recommend at all! We felt very let down and it definetly dampened the spirit of our evening. There are so many nice and welcoming restaurants with good food, dont go here if you want the have a...
Read moreI have tried their food two times. First as dining and the second time, parcel. I found the food to be at par with other veg restaurants in the area. Their service was also fine during dining. I see that they have some negative reviews due to bad service. I think it’s more about a difference in expectation rather than an issue with the actual service. I think that’s because the staff is all Goan. Locals of any city usually won’t be extra enthusiastic in giving service as some migrant (who has migrated specifically for the job). But of course they can always strive to improve their soft skills. When I spoke to them in Konkani they were satisfactorily cordial. I gave 4 star instead of 5 only because when I had gone during lunch time they were keeping persons waiting instead of opening the first floor area...
Read moreAccidentally found this gem to dine in (unable to find space to eat in a prominent eatery) on a busy Monday near Panaji church and a short walking distance from Panaji Municipal garden. We were a group of 8 people (four kids aged 3, 8, 13 and 17). We reached in the nick of time at around 3:45 pm, as it was time to close the tandoor at 4 pm and shifting to South Indian and pav bhaji cooking. The captain very graciously accomodated us and got the food prepared, including punjabi and chinese dishes, in a matter of 10-15 minutes. The food is delicious and the place is clean and very well maintained (unlike the typical damp smell you will find in the prominent vegetarian restaurant nearby). Recommended: dal tadka, plain dosa, fresh lime soda (sweet) A big shout out to our waiter...
